Just got bunnings to price beat lawson airs price by 10%, comes down to $792 & with mitsubishi promotion you get $100 cash back.
I also did the same with bunnings on a 7.1kw System which worked out to be $1386.90 and you get $200 cashback from mitsubishi.
I tried to call Bunnings - they could not price match for Melbourne because they add the $100 delivery fee
Can no longer see it on the Bunnings website.

DO NOT BUY ZSA. Buy avanti plus ZSXA. you wont regret it. Please don't downvote, if you are buying an AC to last for ages it's better to spend a tiny tiny bit more and get AVANTI PLUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Is "oversizing" a thing with recent aircons?
I.e. if a 3kw unit is sufficient for my room size, would a 5kw unit be more reliable long term because it's not going to run at 100% like the smaller unit would?
Or would it just cool the room quicker but then still maintain the temperature with as much effort as the smaller unit?

I just picked one up from the Gladesville NSW store. It took discussing the deal with three different people before they agreed to it. Their argument is that the item plus shipping to Sydney is more expensive hence they won't price match it.
If you give it a go in NSW, try pointing out that Lawrence has a Sydney store on their site.
Gladesville had about 6 more remaining in stock (right near the front counter).

I got existing system with remote on wall. Say if i changed to this, would it be easy to replace the remote on wall? Ie just take off old one and rewire new one?

Thanks OP. Picked up the 2.0KW SRK20ZSA split system at Bunnings Gladesville for $594 after Lawson Air price match. It's on special order however for $494 after cash back I'm happy to wait a couple of weeks.
Note for any one in Sydney requesting Lawson Air price match there is a Campbelltown office. You will need to point that out as Bunnings will try and add on Lawson's delivery fee

Yesterday morning, Bunnings Mt Gravatt reduced their orange ticket price to $875 to avoid the price beat situation on the 3.5kW SRK35ZSA unit. Refused to give a price beat on the still up web price of $959, so that was frustrating. Still picked up 2 units for $875 each ($775 after cashback arrives).. Still wondering if that is a good price for these units? anyone ?
update, i emailed bunnings customer service online and got them to price match for $792 each, they ended up refunding the difference to me over the phone. took a couple days, and very fortunate bunnings mt gravatt didn't go OOS in that time.

Farout.. Bunnings in VIC wouldn't budge on the Brisbane shipping costs as I wanted a 2 or 2.5kW for my bedroom… Guy on the other end was switched on. Ended up getting the 3.5kW with appliance central price match! Thanks guys. Summer sorted :)
Can the cash back from MHI be redeemed if aircon is bought from any Bunnings or only the Bunnings store listed on there website under dealers as there are quiet a few missing from that list ?

Thanks Op. Finally I was able to get one 2.0 from special order. Lawson price is up and out of stock and Bunnings still price beat plus freight. $100 extra, but Happy with the price.

Price beat over the phone. Luckily the special Order guy could do that even Lawson does not have stock. I bought the unit in Canberra Bunnings.
