Shaver Shop November Sale

100

Shaver Shop seem to have a pretty good sale on at the moment. A lot of stuff is 50% off retail like…

HoMedics Massagers
Shavers
Clippers
and others

Haven't checked other prices so not sure if the prices are ok or not.

Ended up buying a neck massager for a Christmas present (not this one http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56744 but this one http://www.shavershop.com.au/products/neck-massagers/shiatsu… for $44.95)

  • cool can anyone recommend a cheap shaver, under $100? Anyone used the philips powertouch? It's only $29.95

    • I haven't used that particular model, but have used other philips shavers. All worked well, but be warned, replacement blades are dearer than the shaver. That's where they sting you. Tha ACCC should do something about the price of Philips replacement blades. I don't bother replacing them any more, I just buy a new shaver as it's cheaper than the blades!!!

      That's what it's for!

  • Upvotes for Phillips Bodygroom Duo at $69.95, great price, hard to find in Australia for under $100.

Will that do my head and face? This might be my all in one solution instead of getting the clippers out..

  • Seems like a bargain for Oral B Triumph. But what gift card do they give?

Looks like they could be close to violating the trades practices act. Not sure how you can say something is 50% off when the RRP is $199, you need to pay $149 instore and then get a $50 gift card via redemption? They are even highlighting the $99 price in the catalogue. I have never liked the Shaver Shop as a retailer, mainly due to their crazy prices compared to OS but this sort of behaviour ranks them even lower in my opinion.

      • Some brick and mortar Shaver Shop franchisee is ok, other left nothing to be desired. But I agree, NEVER buy from Shaver Shop online. They charge shipping cost (without telling you what shipping service you will get) and redirect your order to your nearest Shaver Shop (without you able to choose better franchisee).

Saying their Customer Service poor is an overstatement. They have NO concept of Customer Service.

I know this from my own experience. When you call them and ask about your online order, all they do is direct you to the "local" store, and ask you to ask them. Talk about shifting responsibilities and "ping-pong"ing the customer.
Also, the money has been deducted, but more than 1 week passed with no update on order status. I'm still waiting for my Oral-B online order from last week. No delivery, no status update, nothing… Buyer Beware…

      • Originally they had a pricing error on the oral b triumph on the website - had it listed as 99.95. I got one so it was $109.95 shipped. Have sent in for the cashback, so will come in at $59.95! (see here: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56134).
They corrected the price to $149.95 the next day.

It's about as awesome as a toothbrush gets… But there's no way I'd pay more than $100 for a toothbrush! - a stick with a few bits of goat hair will also clean your teeth!

        • Have you got yours braddsey? I'm still waiting for mine. What shavershop branch your order assigned to? Mine assigned to Eastgarden…

        • Hi Ben1680 - Yep, got mine. It came from Preston (Northland). They used some terrible local courier who carded me on the Friday and I had to call him 3 times until he delivered it on the Wednesday. No complaints though - it's the latest model.

I could have claimed the rebate twice - there was the Tax invoice from shaver shop head office (chadstone) and a tax receipt from the store. Decided against it though - I didn't want to push my luck!

(sorry for replying to myself - I couldn't reply to your comment).

        • I couldn't reply to it either. Maybe it was how the system works.
Anyway, I got mine finally. You are right about local courier, because the long wait is due to them.
I think there should be better notification system from Shaver Shop to automatically notify us when the order has been shipped, so my comment above about how the online order should be managed still stand…

    • Citibank Visa gift card (if my memory serve me right) via redemption direct from Braun
