    Boy, I didn't read that as Suits….

    • What did you read it as?

      • +12

Suites - it's a show about extravagant hotel rooms and the people who stay in them.

      • +2

        Check his browser history…

  • +9

one of my all time favourite tv shows,

already downloaded it, but having them on dvd hardcopy is awesome

ordered even though I dont need it

    • +6

One of my least favourite. The show feels like really slick film making on a budget. I never really believed that the sets looked real, felt more like a weird stage play to me. I did like some of the actors though, especially the senior lawyers. Overall the show felt very B grade though.

      • +2

Fair enough, everyone has different tastes

I dont know what a law firm is really like but I found the characters engaging, even the characters I hated at the start eg louis

However I've lost total interest in meghan market since she started dating the prince

I liked Jessica, and had high hopes for her spin off, but almost fell asleep every episode in her series

        • +4

Louis was the only one I really liked because he was the only one who felt real, as if he was actually hanging around a law office all day, or actually had decades of experience and regret weighing on him.

      • +4

I liked seasons 1-5 but then it just turns into capitalist porn, rich white egomaniacs puffing chests and trying to screw one another over.

        • -3

          Louis is a Jew.
          Jessica is black.
          Rachel is black.
          Robert is black.
          Alex is black.

          Stop projecting your self-hatred.

          • @TruthNuke: Lol wtf are you talking about

            • @Roger Ramjet: You using a garbage TV show like Suits to sook about white people. It's sad.
              Cheer up.

              • @TruthNuke: Precious white guy has been triggered. Ask mummy to give you a hug.

                • @Roger Ramjet: I'm Asian, so that's embarrassing.

                  • @TruthNuke: Ah now I understand why you were offended. Not sure I ever said I was white either… but im sure not that desperate to identify that I take offence to a passing comment of an apt description of a tv show on the internet.

                    • @Roger Ramjet: You realise you're triggered too, right? The only difference is that you're delusional and pretending that you're not.

You're literally offended by there being white people on a TV show (even though minorities are strongly represented within it) - and so offended by that fact that you felt the need to share it on an Australian bargain hunting website. It's seriously sad.

                      • @TruthNuke: What’s sad is you feel it’s ok to abuse people without any understanding or want for understanding about them or why they came to the conclusion you disagree with. A dig at me felt easier for you than to simply say there are more than white characters, where I would have responded with, I was talking about the two white male main characters who are on the cover of the box set. All this effort I’ve spent conversing with you for something I care so little about is what triggers me so with that I say good bye.

                        • @Roger Ramjet: No, I fully understand because I've seen it all plenty of times.

You were talking about the whole show, so don't try and make it sound like you were just talking about the 2 guys on the front cover. You used post season 5 as an example but Mike literally enters prison in the first episode of season 6. I'm not sure how that's capitalist porn when the evil white man (who has a black girlfriend) is behind bars. And me listing other rich egomaniacs trying to screw each other over, who happen to be minorities, was my way of saying there's FAR more to the show than how you described it. You're literally just saying what I said but in different terms.

You obviously care enough to comment about it in the first place. You should start a twitter account if you don't have one already. You'll get heaps of clout for hating yourself and your own race with other like-minded sad cases.

    • Did you see the Korean version?

    • +1

      God damn

      • Yes - if it was a drinking game, you'd be off your face half way through every episode of the last couple of seasons.

    • I loved the first couple of seasons, then it turned into Days of Our Lives. I was waiting for the dream sequence when a dead character would come back.

  • Not gonna lie, never watched an episode but I know the OzB community might like it!

    • +19

The first few episodes made it seem like it was going to be good, but by the end of the first season it had just turned into every other pseudo soap opera.

      • +1

The final season is a royal wedding.

      • +1

It dies when <spoiler-ish> M gets caught.

        • +4

It died when they ran out of ideas making it interesting about his photographic memory and he just miraculously became an amazing lawyer

  • Don't forget extra 5% off with wish gift cards.

  • Thanks OP another thing I didn't realise I needed. Hopefully the order gets forfilled.

  • +2

    Free on netflix

    • +2

yeah thing is if the interweb ever died you'd be unable to watch your suits :P

      • +42

But…on DVD? Even my grandparents don't have a DVD player any more.

Mostly due to them being dead, but I think my point still stands.

        Unlike my grandparents.

        • -1

          Lol dark

Dvd player is dead unlike your grandparents?
Or your point still stands unlike your grandparents (who are dead)?

    • +7

      Is this an oxymoron?

    • +2

      Netflix <> free

    • +5

      But Netflix isn't free.

    • What happens when Netflix finally hits $50 a month in Australia for the 4k/4 stream version? $600 a year just to watch Suits?

    • +3

      Torrent + plex = free

      • -1

        not if you get caught

      • Next thread. Feds knocked on door. Now what do I do. Everyone pirates. How do I get off? You do the crime. You get caught. You pay the fine.

  • +4

I watched all seasons throughout the years. Some seasons were better than others, didn’t really enjoy the most recent ones but still keen enough to finish. Don’t see why you would ever want this on DVD unless you’re in isolation for weeks, cut off from broadband. It’s more fun to watch (stream) in HD and not the kind of series worthwhile watching again IMO.

    • +1

Yeah latest season have been pretty disappointing because the first few were so great.

In saying that, I think the final season goes back to the style of the first few seasons which I quite enjoyed. It does have a sudden ending unfortunately though.

  • +9

    Bought…even i dont have DVD player!! :P

    • 🤣🤣

    • Gold. For display purposes only hey

      • yaa…actually i am thinking now… it will look good on my new book shelf !! …thanks for idea :P

One of the most overrated tv shows of all time. Repeated storyline whereby the law practice they work at is in danger of being closed down. Face it, you like people wearing expensive clothes and doing glamorous things, but not good storyline, plot or character development.

      • +6

No logic, no argument, no reasoning… sounds like someone who would enjoy the plot line of ‘suits’, enjoy my friend.

    • +4

yeah was good for a few season then was a bit meh

    • +1

Dude has a point. Life is too short to watch Suits, even at $12.

  • +1

    OZbargained already…

  • +6

    Watch it only for Donna.

    • Now that the internet exists, you don’t have to sit throw hours of terrible plot to see women.

    • Towards the end she’s still bearable if you mute the sound.

    • can't stand her.

      • Lol same

        • +1

if she really was such hot shit, why is she working as a receptionist? i read towards the end, she becomes the MD 🤦‍♂️

          • @follow: She used her “hot stuff” to get promoted to chief operating officer, but the way she dresses and struts makes me cringe though.

  • Are there really people out there who prefer watching a show in SD instead of HD?

    • +4

If I'm not wearing my glasses and am using mobile data…otherwise no

  • Awesome show. Loved every episodes of it.

But watched it all via streaming.

I still have my Blueray player collecting dust.

  • +11

First few seasons were the best. Slowly went downhill from there. Near the end it was almost unwatchable.
Went on too long like a lot of US shows do.

  • -8

Watched it to see what this Megan Markle person is all about and its such a terrible show. save money its all on Netflix no need to collect a garbage tv show on disc.

I remember the days of Blockbuster, Network Video, Video Ezy (Get it first time or get it free) or buying DVD's from DVD Express because Australia took years to get into DVD, and when it did there were only 5 Region 4 titles.

When you were a kid your dream job would be working at Hoyts/Village or a video rental store, with mountains of entertainment and chill times… Then as these kids became adults they were able to replicate their fav' store in their own room with a DVD library of their own, with hundreds of DVD's, blu-rays etc… It's sort of sad to see DVD's get decimated in value though, it was nice reading and looking at the covers before selecting your nightly viewing.

Has anyone here got 'Prisoner Cell Block H' 175-disc collection?

    • +4

My dream job was never to work for cinemas or video rental because I pirated everything. Because it isn't against the law in Australia unless you're distributing, which was a good excuse to watch pirated stuff together with friends. Those were my good old days

      • So you don’t pirate anymore?

        • Aussies the biggest pirates in the world.
          Proud Pirates it seems.

        • Surprisingly no, I don't. My siblings live separately but we share all of the streaming services between us. My TV has the apps for all of those services so I don't really use my computer anymore

  • Sooooooooooooo sad…no stock in TAS

  • +3

Grafton Big W still has it.

  • +1

    It's available on Netflix.

  • I watched this show alongside The Good Wife (and later, The Good Fight), and I can say I enjoyed both for what they were even though one was far far more 'lawyer-y'.

The one thing that really really bothered me about Suits was the lack of staff. It was a law firm that consisted only of: partners, two secretaries, and a paralegal. The only thing PSLZGDUIEHFB couldn't afford was extras.

    • Yet they always seemed to have totally random people walking around the offices that no one ever interacted with.

    • Same. What an amazing actress Julia Margulies (Alicia) is! Where Suits needed endless dialogues to express the mood people were in, Alicia was convincing without even using words. Also, the whole Alicia/Will storyline was so much better than Harvey/Donna.

  • oos :(

    • Bobsam mentioned Grafton is still available.

    • Yep

  • I spent fortune on DVD last couple of years lucky now I got Netflix and amazon prime, its cover most of shows and good part you can share your membership with other family which will bring cost down to $6 per month for both (3 house can be connected at same membership)

    • Have you also just discovered smart phones as well?

    • I hear you Zonty. I still have a lot of DVDs to go through at home but once done I will be doing the same. Also saves a lot on space too Zonty!I have been donating mine to neighbours who still have DVD players and they love it! lol DVDs are still very popular.

  • -8

TIL they still make DVD's! there you go.
