To run away as a lady in a crocodile onesie instead of a default skin, that's why.

Disclaimer: never bought a skin in any game myself.

The store only sells characters, of which all can be bought with in-game freely earned currency except the licensed killers, and purely cosmetic outfits. Blood points are essentially the games leveling system. BHVR have been really good about making sure the game isn't pay to win or stuff isn't locked behind paywalls.

At least understand the game before spewing out misleading info.

      • What misleading information? All I asked was why is there a microtransaction in this game?

    • +1

you spend bloodpoints to buy perks or items to use in your runs. it's not some p2w mechanic.

    • -5

Everyone that negged me got used to microtransaction hey? 😆
I guess changing the colour of the outfits and customising the characters are so important in games these days?

      • people are negging you because you're talking shit. bloodpoints are not the currency used to buy characters or outfits. it's purely the in-GAME currency to buy stuff for your runs. it's like csgo or valorant how you do objectives (plant/diffuse bomb, kill enemies), you get cash, and you buy guns and utility for the next round

      • You are an idiot sir. Do you have a grudge about microtransactions or about customisation using skins? Make up your mind.

        • -1

          LoL, grudge?

Customisation is part of the microtransaction.

It's funny how all the little girls in here started sooking because someone said they don't like microtransaction. LoL..

          • @HandsomeMonkey: you still missing the point about not being able to make up what you are arguing against, but whatevs

No it's because you have a complete lack of understanding of what Bloodpoints are used for in the game nor did any research to figure it out yourself, it's clear you just wanted to complain about microtransactions. Bloodpoints are just a form of skill points that are used to level up characters and unlock perks & items for them to use, and you gain them entirely by playing the game. They cannot be bought for real money and are the furthest thing from a microtransaction. Do you have a problem with other games where you need to gain skill points in order to level up and unlock things?

            • @Sarvok: Good for you.. Go play your games that requires those points.. I'll go play my games ..

              • @HandsomeMonkey:

I'll go play my games ..

Some of which I'm sure have a progression system where you earn points to increase your level/stats and/or unlock skills/abilities/items.

Happy to see some love for dbd in ozbargain

  • Never played the game but what is the going rate for items on the store?

Is this a decent amount of in game currency?

    • You can't buy items, only characters or cosmetics. All of which go on sale pretty frequently. 100,000 BP really isn't that much once you've sunk some time into the game, but it's a nice bonus if you're just starting out.

    • you only get between 10-30k bloodpoints for every match.

they have 3 different currencies and two of them are from just playing the game normally
      - bloodpoints for levelling
      - shards for cosmetic and non-licensed character
      - aurics for cosmetic and licensed character (pay with real money)

  • +1

Bloodpoints are just used to get items, perks for characters as you level up. It's not much, probably about 4-5 games worth of points but it's still something.

Haven't played in a while, but logged on anyway to redeem points. Sweet worked well. Thanks OP

  • Can I trade these in for free sweets at the blood bank?

    • Give it a try, please and then let us know how it went.
I suggest you pick the person looking most likely to play video games or even Dead by Daylight. ;-)

  • Kids are happy. Thanks op.
