I have a 9000 series shaver, they're great.

RRP $399.
Shaver shop $299 but factor in shipping or your time to pick it up.
JB Hifi $269, also factor in shipping $4.99 / click and collect / your time.

This does not have a numerical power reserve indicator, just some lines to indicate % power reserve, but works just as well.

Particularly handy for me as I plan to have it shipped directly interstate for a relative.

Placed order today, Amazon Au has shipped and says it'll arrive by tomorrow (!!)

Hey - question for the electric shaver crowd: how close to a BBS shave can you get from electric razors? Or at least, how close of a shave generally?

      BBS = baby butt smooth?

I shave mine in the AM before I wash my face (dry), super smooth. Then I wash my face afterwards.
Some like it with shaving cream / in the shower etc etc.
Highly recommend this shaver, but with shavers YMMV.

        Yeah Baby Butt Smooth!

Thanks for that, I’ll do a bit of digging. Looks like a good alternative!

Big fan of the Phillips shavers. That said keep in mind you're not going to be able to get completely smooth with any electric shaver. It is however good enough to keep you looking good and you can easily have a no mess shave in the shower in under 30 seconds.

Electric shavers are for people who hate shaving.

    • I use Braun series 7. It gives a pretty close shave after a few goes but it's not as smooth as a wet shave. Shaving under the chin and neck with electric shaver doesn't come easy and requires multiple goes. If you have sensitive skin or are looking for less messy (without the hassle of lather etc) shaving then electric shavers are good but if you want very close shave then stick with wet shave.

I am working from home these days and shave every other day therefore electric shaver makes it easy as it doesn't have to be the closest shave ever. I probably will still use it when back at work but if I was to attend a formal event (god knows when) then I will stick to wet shave for that occasion.

Don't hold me to this, but I believe you can try for up to 90 days and return for free if not satisfied

Please read the terms and conditions.

EDIT: Braun as well but for 60 days - https://au.braun.com/en-au/promotions/money-back-guarantee

    • Yep, correct, thanks mate

  • I have these, got it from a bday present but find they still shave not as clean as a fresh disposable one

This is a bargain though at that price

    • I thought so too - but then was advised to try shaving in AM, before washing my face. Something about pre-washing that makes the hairs more difficult to cut etc. Seems to work for me
