Cheapest nbn in Sydney?

Hello OZBargainers

Just wondering what is the cheapest nbn available in the market.

I remember using Buzz Telco a couple of years ago with their minimum plan of $29/month, eventually they closed down :(

All the ISPs which I have seen since then are keeping their cheapest plan around $60/month. Is there any other ISPs who offer cheaper pricing as Buzz Telco?

PS: 10mbps is sufficient for my usage but I would need unlimited data.

Thanks!

I switched to NBN last month and was interested in going with Belong. I always check the after-sales service of a company before buying anything from them.

Went to Belong's website and found that they stopped accepting customer support calls (at least that was the case in Aug 2020). If you call their 1300 number, you get a pre-canned response asking you to go to the website. No live chat on the website either that I could see (without logging in to the customer portal). Email seemed to bethe only way to contact their support.

I decided to pay $5 extra p/m and went with Spintel ($60 / month, free modem after sign-up credit, 25mbps unlimited). For all the shitty online reviews Spintel gets, at least they have a customer care team that you can call up and live-chat with and they try their best to help out.

I'll most likely switch to Tangerine NBN once my contract with Spintel ends.

  • Tangerine has a $49.90 p.m. 25/5 NBN plan for first 6 months (extra cost for modem though if you need that).

Cheapest may not be the best service, for technical support to rectifying your problems, speeds maybe slower. NBN prices will be higher than your ADSL connections because its government owned and needing to generate a profit.

I pay $55 a month for Belong NBN. Connected since Nov-2019 and no issues at all. And they provide free WI-FI router.
Can give a $20 code to have a discount of first bill. So first month will be $35 then. Just PM me. Thanks.

Make sure you take a screenshot of the unlimited download terms. Companies like Aussie broadband have been know to walk back on this promise when their customers actually do download unlimited.

Flip TV has 10mbit unlimited Nbn plans for $45/month, and 25mbit unlimited for $55/month. I have no idea what they're like. Aussie owned though, which seems like a good thing!
