  • anyone used this before? how is it ?

    • +1

      Haven't used it but it's a typical good quality USA clipper for home use especially at these uncertain times.Don't expect pro like shave like fading etc as it is not meant for that.

    • I have and it's crap. The nose trimmer died in the first few days and the beard trimmer just pulls on my hairs. The guide combs are hard to change too.

      You get a lot of stuff but it's honestly worse quality than the colour version of got 6 years ago.

  • Too bad they didn't include the premium guide combs unlike their standalone clipper, Elite Pro
    I will be all over it if it did. Good post OP nonetheless.

    • what's the difference in the guide combs?

      • +2

        the plastic ones are just flimsy plastics which is perfectly fine if you use it occasionally for home use. But over time due to the wear and tear of taking it off & on will take its toll. The guide comb becomes loose and when that happens, a bald patch is inevitable when using it. It happened to me when doing my toddler's hair. If you are seeing this post in the future, sorry kiddo! The premium ones are just made out of a sturdier and denser plastic along with it's metal latch that really hooks on to the clipper making a perfect fit which in turn makes the whole machine operating more smooth unlike the clattering noise that the normal guide combs does.

        • wished i knew that before ordering last night.

          • @settings: Most pros or shopowners use plastic ones btw so its not all that bad.

          • @settings: Don't worry about it. You will get years out of it and by that time, you are probably due for an upgrade anyways. Enjoy clipping hairs.

  • Looks like the size of a brick

      If your bricks are the size of a Wahl Elite Pro Barber Cutting Kit then I can confirm this is true.

    I have had the Elite Pro with metal reinforced guides for nearly 3 years, and it is the only clipper I have ever had so I can't compare it to others.
    It does work well for what I have paid (50%off) but:
    -it needs to be oiled before and after every haircut or it pulls hair;
    -it's not easy to clean in the deep, the little brush will sweep the exterior side well enough though;
    -it you want to clean all the hair out after some haircuts you must remove the blades, and they are very difficult to realign properly, even doing the screw carefully the last turn makes the blade move again so I suggest not to remove the blades.
    Honestly if I ever need another one I would buy a different one, like the one called Wahl Peanut that is smaller and more comfortable to handle.

  • Is there a Lithium Ion battery powered model? Not being cordless is a deal breaker.
