This alone already provides so much more value over eBay Plus

    • +1

ebay plus is a scam! slow delivery for usually free delivery.

  • +1

Prime members can watch all movies for free. Isn’t it?

    • +6

No. While Amazon Prime offers many free movies and TV series with Prime Membership, the service also features its own Store where you can rent/buy movies that aren't available for free.
      Hope that helps :)

Dont do it people. If more and more start renting popular movies then maybe Amazon AU will limit the good popular movies being released for free as they are now for Prime members?

  • Any movies worth actually paying for? (Genuine question)

    • +3

Parasite if you haven't watched it

      • +2

        Is free on Stan.

        • +1

Yeah but you will need Stan subscription?

      • I actually haven't! Thanks for the heads up!

        • I think I will rewatch it this weekend too

  • Parasite seems to be the only one I found that was 99 cents. So its just a gimmick. Most other movies were $2.99 but can be found free on most other streaming services, or are that old you would have seen them anyway.

    • +1

Nah there's heaps - not sure what you're seeing but i get .99c listings in the second row "New releasees as low as $0.99" as well as the fourth row "Popular movies as low as $0.99" which includes things like Terminator Dark Fate, Jojo Rabbit & Parasite

      • +3

Ahh ok, just skimmed through. Amazon prime has a really poor menu system. It should have put them in price categories. Always hard to find things on Prime, i generally look on justwatch.com and then go straight to it. Jojo Rabbit was a good movie IMO, I would pay 99 cents to watch it

Amazon prime video probably has the most latest releases outside of Disney+.

On the list are Bad Boys for Life, Jumanji Return to the Jungle, Gemini Man, Knives Out, Joker, The Gentlemen, Little Women, Emma, Doctor Sleep, Once upon a time in Hollywood, A beautiful day in the neighbourhood, Cats, Dolittle, Midway, Hobbs and Shaw

"Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri" is up for rent at $0.99 and is worth watching.

  • Well. Amazon Video has got to have the absolute worst interface I've yet encountered for finding anything. In that it competes with Netflix well. I doubt that Stan is any better.

The fact that you can't search rentals by price-point is… moronic at best. There are times I will want to toss $1 for a flick if it's not otherwise available and not being able to search through a list of such is self-defeating.

Worse still they mix rentals with non-rentals in search results making it a right pain to find something you've already paid for.

And their "as low as $x" headings are meaningless. There are $1 rentals in the $3 category and $3 rentals in the $1 category and so on. FFS. :/

As a result I barely use Prime to watch stuff. I'll hit it for The Expanse and Picard when new seasons come out but, otherwise, too much pain.

That said, JoJo Rabbit is $1 and that's a price point I'm happy with. :)

    I want TENET for $0.99

    • then i call it a deal!

    • It's only a matter of time…
