HR Driving License Melbourne Post Lockdown

Heavy Rigid License

Hi

I am living in Melbourne and after the lockdown, I wanted to pursue a HR License course to increase my job prospects . I don't have any MR/HR experience and just know manual and automatic car driving.

I am on jobseeker and hence not having much money and want to get max value

If you have any inputs like your experience or a training center which you would recommend that would be great.

I have searched on the internet ,most of them are charging nearly $1000 for the course.

I don’t believe TAFEs really provide the practical sign of driving operations. They generally offload the licensing to the RTOs. Reason being is the RTOs have to register with VicRoads and TAFEs cover a broad range, they don’t want to spend too much time/effort on the one part.

PS: TAFEs will not be quick. TAFEs are Cert II/IIIs which go for 1-2 years.

PPS: if you want funded, it will not be quick. Funded is also based around full qualifications. Realistically your options are pay more for a short course of pay less (if eligible) for a 3+ month cert course.

You don't have to wait until after lockdown. Most training orgs with have a vicroads category exemption.
