ASUS VivoBook Flip 14 TM420IA Ryzen 4700u, 8GB RAM, 512GB SSD - $1274.25 Delivered @ Microsoft eBay

190

Nice price for this laptop.

4 Gb of RAM is soldered. So, you'd only have 8gb ram running in dual channel mode.

thanks to @tonyjzx:
8GB Total Memory (4GB DDR4 on board + 4GB DDR4 SODIMM)

Screen is 60% sRGB.

  • The soldered RAM is a deal breaker for me.

Buy a soldering iron to stick it to the man.

      NEVER SURRENDER!

Where did you get the infomation showing 4GB DDR4 on board + 4GB DDR4 SODIMM?

Though the review site (very thorough site for laptop reviews) states:

"1x SODIMM slot are all accessible. Keep in mind that 4 GB of RAM comes soldered."

M.2 2280 and SODIMM slots are protected in aluminium housing.

60% sRGB is quite bad though, but given the cheaper price they needed to cut corners.

You can run dual channel with unequal size sticks.

  • I remember buying a surface laptop from Microsoft on ebay earlier, you could send it back within a certain amount of time no questions asked.
Does this policy still apply - i.e. can you send these back if you e.g. dont like the screen?

    • Update - it looks like there may be a more generous returns policy only for their surface line of products.
I have asked them to let me know if I can use the laptop to evaluate and then return if I am not satisfied.

Pretty sure they accept free returns regardless of any reasonable condition

        • Thanks
