Am I Making Iced Coffee Correctly?

The recipes I find online are tedious.

I stir two teaspoons of that with cold milk. That’s it right? Iced coffee? Any easy ways to make it better? Is two teaspoons about equal to a flat white at a cafe? Is that considered a good type?

I am no coffee snob but I swear using a frother like this makes it taste so much better. Good thing about this whipper is that it can be used on hot or cold drinks.

    To make ice coffee:

    • 2 teaspoons of that
    • 2 teaspoon sugar
    • very small amount of boiling water to disolve
    • cold milk
    • stir
    • enjoy
    • Do you have to use the boiling water though? It dissolves in cold milk.

      • You can use sugar syrup, dissolves instantly

      Sugar is optional

Oh guess I've been making iced coffee wrong? (or at least I don't make the milk type)
    I do:
Cold brew (coffee of your choice)
Water (depending on the brew half and half is what suits me)
    Sugar (I don't use any)
    Milk (I prefer soy)
    Ice
    Stir

If you like it you’re making it correctly.

also, next time freeze ice coffee in ice cube trays and use that instead of ice

This - i wish cafes did that more often. Once the ice gets diluted your left with watered down coffee.

I think cafe's add lots of sugar. But at home, you can flavour to your liking.

  • Greek iced coffee would be the easiest and best to make with instant coffee

Get a blender, pour in milk, a couple of scoops of vanilla ice cream, get some Bushell's Coffee and Chicory Essence and pour in a little then blend. For the ultimate iced coffee, get some cream, add a little vanilla essence and whip it real good. Pour a little Coffee and Chicory essence around the sides of a tall glass, pour in the iced coffee, top it off with whipped cream and finally sprinkle some drinking chocolate on top like Vittoria Chocochino Drinking Chocolate.

That's the best iced coffee I've ever had, better then the watery ice cubed version.

You can also replace the Coffee essence with Cottee's Chocolate Topping to make an iced chocolate….

    Iced coffee or iced latte?

Iced coffee usually involves ice cream and sugar syrups.

Iced lattes is just a normal latte but with cold milk. So a shot of espresso coffee, cold milk and ice.

  • That is a brown caffeinated beverage.

I make either a double shot onto ice with a dash of milk & no sugar

    or

Use a 6 cup plunger with enough coffee for 2 cups & 6 cups hot water and allow it to sit overnight in the fridge. dash of milk, no sugar.

  • Am I Making Iced Coffee Correctly?

    To answer…..

You are making it wrong if it tastes terrible.

You are making it right if it tastes great.

    We all have different tastes

We all have different ways of making it.

    However using coffee is essential

  • If your thinking about using coffee beans and not instant coffee, I'd recommend making Japanese iced coffee where coffee is extracted from hot water and then cooled by ice.

If you want it to be sweet and be creamy, I would use that method and put condensed milk and full cream milk.

You could probably use sugar or something sweet and if you have a jar that you can close and shake (without the content flying everywhere), shaking it would make it foamy as well.

Condensed milk maybe? I love having Vietnamese Iced Coffee which does use condensed milk.

  • surprised no one has mentioned 'dalgona' coffee yet - worst fad of instagram 2020

  • Personally, I make a double shot of espresso, put that, some ice and milk into the blender/Thermomix and whizz it up. If necessary I also have a bit of sugar, but it depends on mood.

  • Have you tried iced coffee with chocolate?

  • Used to get an amazing ice coffee at a (now closed) local bakery.
They used 2 espresso shots poured over house-made coffee gelato and topped up with milk. Strong, and a little sweet, yum.
