  • Damm now I'm torn. Versa 3 or Versa 2 or Charge 4…

    • -5

      Apple Watch

      • Unless you are one of the 9.5/10 people that buy Android over iOS devices.

    • Saw this deal. Looked into versa vs the sense. Then saw something about hiding sleep data behind a paywall. Pulled the trigger on a Huawei honour 5 for $43 instead.

What sleep data is behind a paywall?
The main sleep data I look is the "sleep score" - which isn't a paid service.

Not sure sorry, just something I read here and elsewhere

    • Having owned a Charge 4 (and getting it replaced with a new one), I've found I miss AOD (coming from an analogue watch).
If this is a feature you'd like, then skip Charge 4 and go Versa 2 or 3.

I don't think the versa 3 will give any stats worth the extra premium $ tbh.

        It basically comes down to…

If you don't want to drag your phone around, then Versa 3/Charge 4. If you don't mind dragging your phone around, then Versa 2/Charge 3. Music is another issue on the Versa 3, sounds like Fitbit really f**ked it up by removing the ability to load with your own music.

Alright, you're all pursuading me away from Fitbit. The main reasons I want a smartwatch/tracker is for sleep monitoring, swim/walk/run tracking and basic smartphone control. If sleep monitoring is paywalled then that defeats the purpose.

        Sleep isnt paywalled though.

  • This or mi band 5?

  • how this compare to amazfit bip s ?

  • I think this also qualifies for 7.5% from shopback/cashrewards

Bought 2 of these watches earlier this year (one for partner and myself).. I wouldn't go near it. The step counter is completely useless, I've had over 50k steps reported in a day (completely false) and often reports thousands of steps from just wearing the watch around the house. It has reported that I have climbed more than 100 stair cases in a day when I am using the elevator at work etc. It is a similar story with the heat rate monitor accuracy.

Search in Google for 'versa 2 missed steps' to see the issues with this watch and how many times others have had the watches replaced with the same problems to pop up again. IMHO Versa 2 is a very poor product as a fitness tracker.

Annoyingly just searching for Versa 2 reviews you will find there are tons of articles which praise the features of the watch with no mentions of these issues, maybe because they don't actually have experience with the watch or because they are pushing affiliate links.

Edit: another annoying issue is that often the watches won't even turn on, from searching google this seems to be a common experience.
