Now that's a brandname you can set your watch to

    • It just says "Reliable, dependable, trustworthy" doesn't it?

      Still though, great bargain.

      • +2

and with a brand name like "Caixun" it just screams of Reliability…
Not going to lie though,.. I'm still very tempted to get one for the bedroom.

  • Not a single review…

  • Sounds good since it has Dolby vision and HDR at that price point

  • Wow. It has Dolby Vision.

Guess atleast with amazon's return policy its worth the try

Someone must know how good (or shit) this is…. it seems I still didn't learn my lesson from my Kogan give that still gives me nightmares with a hard reboot required every time I need wifi .. oh and the TV randomly turning on at 3am in our bedroom is an other fun value add.

    • +1

tho amazon has better return policy then kogan

      • do we pay for shipping back if we want to return back to amazon?

        • Only time i've had to pay is its amazon US or UK for returns, but things might of changed since last time I did a return.

I returned a laptop to Amazon AU about 4 months ago.
I had it for about 2-3 weeks, had an issue with the battery so just sent it back.
Didn't pay for the return postage at all & after about a week from sending it I got a 100% refund.
Not sure if the same would be for a TV, but that was my experience if that helps.

  • is it VESA mount compatible?

  • would VESA 200mm x 100mm quite standard?

I bought the 50 inch version of this recently as it was 10% off for prime members. Wanted a fairly budget tv for the bedroom that had Android TV.

Definitely no expert but it's been pretty decent for us. Setup was easy, it turns on fairly quick from standby. Sound isn't too bad but I have a sound bar running with the HDMI-ARC port. Had no weird quirks or issues with it, no crashes, no surprise turning on. Google assistant seems to work alright too. Picture seems decent enough, not great on the darker stuff though. Wifi has been working fine, streaming catchup tv etc.

I haven't mounted it, but appears to be a 200x200 VESA mount on the back for my size. It feels pretty light, and maybe a little cheap & plastic, but lower end so can't expect much.

Can't really complain for now, does what I wanted. Have to wait and see if any issues in future.

    Hopefully that helps someone.

Quite useful, thanks. Just hoping you can clarify, when you say not great on the darker stuff (I presume you mean low light scenes, not like "scary" content), do you mean that the blacks aren't very true / rich, or that when it's a dark scene, that it's got low contrast and hard to make out the image / what's happening on screen?

      • +1

I haven't had it that long so not had a chance to try a lot of different content.

Wife & I just noticed on a few shows that had low light scenes it didn't look the best. Sometimes lost a bit of the detail, and it looked a little washed out. That's the best I can explain it I'm afraid.

Overall though I don't think it's too bad. If I needed one at this size, I would happily buy at this price.

        • Can't stand the fake looking washed out my eyes are very particular

  • Is there anyway of finding out who the OEM panel manufacturer is (and then whether they are any decent, e.g. what other brands / units they supply)?

  • Just ordered one for the bedroom. Hope it's alright.

  • I hear return policy but that wouldn't be for change of mind if you're not happy????
