  • I'm looking for something with over ear hooks like this. Anyone got any recommendations?

I have anker curve, for about $40, which is a model from approx 2 years ago.

Decent sound, but not amazing. And I can't tell you if they are better than the one you posted.

They're not true wireless, but are very secure while running. And support was very good when they failed within 12 months i was sent another pair, no questions asked, not even a request for a video to prove the fault. And no need to send back first pair.

So, I'd rate anker as good for support, acceptable on quality.

I also had the QCY T1C, which look very similar to some of the earlier soundpeats (indeed I think qcy were the OEM for a bunch of rebranded chifi true wireless buds) and were approx equivalent to the anker curve in quality. So I would feel safe going for the ones you posted (or the anker equivalent).

      Hope that helps.

Thank you very much for the information. Appreciated.

  • I've seen a couple of reviews with these, the reviewers seem to really like them.

While I find these tempting, I really don't like the feeling of in ear headphones.

  • I need something in nude colour for work err

    • paint your ears black and gold and will blend in

      • Haha
I actually just want to use it in 1 ear for audio books, but it's difficult to find any in nude

        • Paint it in that nude by nature stuff

  • Really liked these till the left one went dull last week. Will need to see how a warranty claim will go.

    • How long have you had yours for?

      • A few weeks

        • Hmm hopefully just a lemon and will get replaced without a fuss

          • @AncientWisdom: It is fulfilled by Amazon so they have sent me a return label.

Now to order again saving a few dollars extra.

  • So i took the jump, hopefully these will be good for gym

    • Don't think they're the best for gym. Look at the other models on special.

      • one of the youtuber said they were good for them in the gym

    • They will fall out, you need one with ear wings.

      • I changed to the small tip and they feel very tight in the ear, so will let you know if they do fall out

        • If it stays that will be dope.

          • @dbmitch: i got about an hour before I had issues, guess those youtubers that say they can workout with them mustnt be working very hard

            • @asa79: Or maybe they don't workout at all, just say whatever without confirming.

The most viewed video is the one I watched on sub 50 USD buds and he said exactly what I mentioned.

              "Get Wings People"

              • @dbmitch: or atleast ipod style ones as i been using the corded ones for ages with no issues, except for a few tangles with weights

  • Received today.

Interestingly, there's a warning to make sure the charge current is no greater than 5V, 1A. Who's even got a charger that crap anymore.
I can't find my USB current meter, so I can't tell how much it is pulling.

Its probably just an in-before some (profanity) explodes his battery.

  • Just received the TrueEngine 3 SE today, and pretty impressed with the sound, compared to my old iphone wired headphones, pretty good.

    • Phones calls a little disappointed in as sounds like both speakers try and centre the callers voice

  • Can you charge them from other chargers? I tried and they will only charge with the cable they came with.

    • I received them the other day, and i have found they will charge connected to a 1amp charger, a 2.1 amp or a QC3.0 USB A or PC with any cable (have used probably 5 or 6 to test?), but they won't charge from my USB C to C high amp chargers. They do say 1a max on them, so it seems it just doesn't like the high amperage chargers.

  • Check if you received a 40% off card in your soundPEATS box, i just got a refund of $19 of my units from this card

    • I did. Thanks for reminding me.

  • I ordered the SoundPeats TrueShift2, and while the sound is crisp and clean, it is not as loud as some of my other headphones, I am used to (Audio Technica ATH50x). I know the AT's are more expensive and studio reference.. I am now looking to order the Trueengine2, whenever they are back in stock and if they sound better.

Anyway, anyone have comparison between the SoundPeats Trueengine 3 vs Trueshift 2?
    Please advise. Thanks.

    • Worth a look in older threads, there's often comparison of the different models.

  • I ordered two pairs. I'm pretty sure one pair (the one I opened, the other is a gift) is a return/refurbishment. The box was squashed and not sealed in plastic like the other pair, the right earbud was scratched, both earbuds looked dirty and the right one had no sound. I contacted SoundPeats but they weren't much help, so I returned to Amazon.
