  Sandisk or Samsung for A119 dashcam?

  Anyone have experience with Sandisk? From what I've seen on reddit, seems that Sandisk is prone to more failure?

    Yeah I think I have read that some dashcams don't play nicely with Sandisk.

    Go Samsung. My Sandisk High Endurance won't work correctly on A119 v3 and will cause skipped footages.
    I swapped to a samsung high endurance, which is much more expensive, but it works well.
    Now the Sandisk is in my Osmo Action and it works fine.

    I've read the opposite. Plus Samsung isn't even class 10, so speeds are much slower. They do have a longer life than the SanDisk. If you want the best go SanDisk Max Endurance it's the top of the line for dash cams. Obviously the most expensive too.

    Sounds like a fairly short lifetime. Definitely a card positioned more at the budget end of the spectrum. I'll stick to the Samsung Pro cards which have more than twice the endurance rating (26280 vs 12000 hours).

    The smaller 32gb is rated for 2500 hours so could explain the failures in some reddit comments. I am guessing that's because it is being overwritten more often due to smaller storage space. Quick maths say if using 24x7, that’s about 105 days, or 3.5 months.
