Well known, well reviewed. Bassy signature, but can apparently be cleaned up with a pad change (I don't have any recommendations off-hand). If you want wireless audio with comfort, this is a good entry (and stopping) point without going up to $400 for the genuine audiophile stuff like the Audeze Penrose.

US Prime Day deal, so expect these to take about 3 weeks to get here. Enjoy!

The BEST sounding wireless headset I've heard after a pad swap(wicked pads, don't get brainwavz). Did it a long time ago and never looked back when it comes to fully wireless setup.

The mic absolutely sucks ass though, but can also be removed which is a pro

Sound way better than the Steelseries Arctis Pro Wireless too :)

    • Tell me more about the mic. I wanted to double this as a work video conferencing headset when not gaming? Is it crap?

  • I've got these and they are very uncomfortable with glasses - ymmv.

Change the pads, as a glasses wearer myself can confirm they sucked on stock pads. No issues after with the thicker softer pads unless you have big thick glasses

got a link to the pads you use?

    • That's definitely a combination of pad design and clamping force. You can reshape the headphone band a bit, but pads will probably save you the most.

Given how bassy they are, a pad with less pressure isn't going to hurt the sound quality for you. Personally I just tilt my glasses frame outside of the earcups, but obviously that doesn't look great if you're in a public area or on camera, and wouldn't work for all prescriptions.

    • See you in a month or two then… consider this a heavily delayed mid-year sale.

Some stuff will come in volume early, but deals that only arrive November-January normally are unlikely to be here.

love these posts referring to previous deals not a huge bargain if u compare

  • I don’t know how these compare with the cloud ii, but I just received my cloud ii the directionality of sound sources is absolutely phenomenal for gaming. You can locate how left or right the centre of the sound is from your ears with high precision. I couldn’t do this with other gaming headsets such as turtle beach elite atlas pro, steelseries 9h, even with the aide of sennheiser 7.1 gsx1200.

    • How much?

I'm looking at Arctic for $120 or these! I'm sick if playing Solos, never thought I'd have to buy a headset for gaming in my life 🤣🤣

      Are these worth $30 more?

Hyperx has genuinely been a very reliable headset brand for me. I'm currently using the Cloud Revolver and it's genuinely one of the most comfortable headsets as well as ones that required least amount of customization to get the job done. I'd say it's worth it.

I believe even the popular streamer Shroud used these for a quite a period of time, albeit without the mic of course.

If you're talking about the Arctic 1, these are definitely better, but this commenter seems to be describing the HyperX Cloud II, not the Cloud Flight.

I got these new for 120 from Amazon. These use neodymium magnet 50mm drivers like audiophile headphones and are of high quality in terms of sound. The mic itself I personally don’t like and have the voda mod mic which I got for 50 on Amazon.
I’ve been playing around with turning on/off the little 7.1 USB sound card and I’m now starting to realise how much more directionality this little thing really does add. The turtle beach “super human hearing” is real bullshit as it just adds amplifies the sound but not directionality, same with the gsx1200. All the software EQs I’ve used with high treble and low bass couldn’t do this near as good as the cloud ii and USB card that it comes with.
If u can get a good conditioned 2nd hand one for like <80 it’d be worth it (just watch out for scammers on gumtree — use PayPal as it’s not worth the risk).

    • Pair of HyperX Cloud Flight used or cloud ii? Yeah, I didn't think of that
Id rather spend $80, than $150

HyperX Cloud Flight all used are $150+
      Cloud ii $50

      I actually meant
      SteelSeries Arctis 1
      https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/572599
These are $120, I got the spelling wrong ops

    • PSA - PayPal doesn't cover you on Gumtree. It's written in their policy. Cash trade is the way to go if it feels sus…

  • Weird, they cut the deal off despite it having 6 more hours to run in the US.
