      You can't normally buy just an extra 2GB They have subscriptions, but for larger amounts like 100GB (from memory)

      Just SMS again to get a different code.
      I tried that and got a different code the 2nd time around. However, Dropbox only accepts one of that coupon type ("You have already claimed a coupon of this type.")

    For the record you can text as many times as you want, but can only apply to each account once. Useful if you have multiple accounts or wanna send your mates some extra space :)

    I upgraded 3 dropbox accounts.

    I used the one vodafone mobile, and sent the 'Dropbox' text message to the 126222 three times, and got back three different URLs.

    After the 4th text, I got back a message stating
    "Sorry there are maximum of 3 unique codes per user"

    Each URL has a unique coupon code associated with.

    There are a maximum of 3 unique codes per user/phone number.

      it integrates well with many iphone apps, not only for backup, but data sharing between phones, that is it's main advantage for me…

        Yes. It's much more universal than the rest. I have 1 app that stores notes in dropbox, 1 that has my passwords (encrypted), 1 that uses it to sync bookmarks between devices, etc.

        So it's convenient to just use dropbox for everything else as well :)

          Desktop app works with linux too. I've always been tempted to try sugar synch but it just doesn't have the same compatibility.

          I kind of agree with you somewhat though, I think they should increase the default quota a little bit to stay competitive

          • Pocket for passwords, passport, mastercard, bank details etc.

          If you're on iOS you should be able to find similar apps i think

      I use to transfer music wireless from my computer to my phone. It's fantastic because dropbox uses wifi to transfer between devices on same network so the transfer speeds are really quick

      Maybe you shouldn't compare this with something that doesn't do cross platform. I love Dropbox as it works on my Linux machine. Pogoplus has Linux support but limited.

        however each code can only be applied to any given dropbox account once
        i.e. to get 6GB you'd need 3 unique dropbox accounts

    To get code, try this :

    http://bigmobileads.com/sites/controller.php/dropboxvf/?k=XX… (replace XXXX with any 4 alpha numeric like xamc), try this few times and you will succeed. One code per account so unless you got many accounts, you can stop with once.

    I got 2 codes so far with random try and I can also confirm it is not case sensitive. My code is 0lamft09r6c1 - not sure if this works for you as i already used on my account.
