Amazon Order Cancelled by Amazon

Just wondering if anyone else has the same issue as me.
I've signed up for Amazon prime for their prime day sale.
Tried to purchase few items and ended up my orders being cancelled by Amazon.
Spoke to them few times with different answers.
They asked me to talk to my card issuer, which I did (there is no record of transaction being declined).
Tried with 2 different credit cards, and all orders ended up cancelled by Amazon.
Can't get a straight answer from Amazon what went wrong (various reasons were given, your bank declined payment, your account is new therefore require manual intervention, your information cannot be verified etc). I appreciate the security that they put in place, but they put 0% effort in helping out their customer to resolve the issue. I was told to wait for 24-48 hours for someone to response (sales will end by then).

It's really a waste of time.

Anyone else has similar experience?

did you create new amazon accounts to get more Prime trials?
did you do a lot of change of mind returns?

    • Never have prime before. First time signed up for prime. First time purchase.

I am finding their login authentication is ridiculously annoying.

Even if you get the right password, they make you do a Captcha and reenter the password AND then get you to do 2FA.

With that sort of security, I would have to agree it would seem like a waste of time.

The only thing I can think of is to get Amazon gift card and spend the money that way. I think you can get Amazon gift card locally right?

    • Same experience. Entered password twice.
I don't want to get amazon gift card and ended up they still cancel my order and I have no where to use the gift card.

      • It's a question you could ask the Cust Rep, that if you use gift card, would your orders be cancelled?

Do a test of say $20 (I know wasted dollar hey…) and see how it goes. There is still 10 more hours before this Prime thingy ends.

        It is really hassle indeed.

  • Did you create your account in a different country or something?

I placed an order for a relatively the other day using their credit card on my account and the item arrived within 20hrs.

    • No. Australian account. Maybe just my bad luck. I think I should just Give up on Amazon. Cancel my prime. No point wasting more time.

VPN or any whacky Adblock software running? That’s all I can think of.

        • That's a possibility. I am on VPN. Good point.

        • I've got adblock turned on all the time so I don't think this is it.
