    was $79 on July 2019, it's handy, $99 isn't the best deal

(item name is a bit different, but it's the same item and when I click the order I've made, it directs to this deal)

  • I was just about to post this deal, I ordered one moments ago.

    • Nice. I ended up buying the first in that list.

  • I have the model up from this (rechargeable, heart rate - not worth the extra $$$) and having a long term track of what you're doing with your weight is great. Maps it out into a good trend view so you can see if you are consistently maintaining, losing or (gulp!) gaining.

The app ecosystem also plays with other health systems, so I have mine upload weight to trainingpeaks and Zwift automatically (the Zwift link is problematic).

  • I haven't had experience with Withings' scale but sure hope it's more user friendly than the thermometer, which you literally cannot use unless you download the app.

    • From memory you only need the app to do the intial configuration, after that just step on.

I've got one of these that's > 5 years old and still going strong (looks the same even if they've maybe updated the internals?). Definitely buy rechargeable batteries for it though, 4x AAA's. It'll chew through them every few months.

Don't bother with body composition though, scales can't do that accurately. I've had wildly different body fat % readings a short time apart, impossibly different. Just weight it's fine.

It keeps track of multiple users by guessing who it is based on the similarity to the last measurement.

My most embarrassing story was coming back from living in a hotel (breakfasts!) for work for 4 weeks overseas and having it ask if this was perhaps a new person…. way to throw some shade scale, way to throw some shade…..

    • Yeah, I've got an 8 year old one and it's still working well

I've had this scale for two years, have changed the batteries once, works great through wifi, great app on phone which gives all data and tracks over time. Withings sold the rights to the scale to Nokia who rebadged it as theirs and made some good improvements to the phone app, however they found it wasn't a big seller and it diverted from their main business and sold the rights back to Withings. As good if not better than the Fitbit Scale, would buy again in a heartbeat, paid about $120 two years ago. This is a good price.

    • Glad to hear, the Body+ scales seemed to always be on top of most smart scale reviews online. Was hoping these would go on special for Prime day.

Bought one of these from Costco ,same price, I suggest this version as it has body composition too. Just make sure to weigh same time for more accurate and consistent readings, more accurate readings in the morning (less water in the feet)

  • Paid $40 for mine, does everything I need, Bluetooth, keeps a log and works flawlessly RENPHO brand.

    • I got one too but it failed pretty quickly and got a refund. Got another one for $20 or something on sale. It’s okay, but I have my doubts sometimes as it has certainly been off plus or minus 5kg.

      • Mines working great and accurate and there's 1000sb of positive reviews you may just got a dud sorry to say

  • If you have poor wifi signal , then the scale doesn't work to well. Also I experienced this issue: https://support.withings.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360025…

  • Thanks OP! Was in the market for one.

Feels a bit expensive.. a scale for $99

All these features that they offer, I doubt its all that accurate either.

I'm surprised this wasn't raised sooner in the thread. I thought that most ozbargainers that were after smart scales would have had a Xiaomi one for a third of the price already.

      • Yeah.. was wondering the same thing. If I have the Xiaomi already… is this really an upgrade? Prob not πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™‚οΈ

        • +2

After checking reviews I chose this one over Xiaomi because apparently this one's body metrics are more accurate. I'm happy with it.

      • +3

Xiaomi doesn't automagically send metrics to my iOS Health app.

Great scale….. accurate, and durable….. I've had one for 5 years.

I'm not enjoying the numbers I'm seeing on it at the moment, but that is not the fault of the scale.

  • Are these reliant on the cloud or can they be used locally?

  • Says it can’t ship to Australia?

  • I bought this a few days ago, so I contacted amazon to see if they would refund the difference and they said no. Has anyone successfully had them refund the difference before?

    • Bad luck mate, but no I've never heard of anyone refunding the difference. You bought it for the offered price on the day.

    • You could always buy it again and return it via the higher priced order!?

    • Yes just buy again at new price, and then return them bnib under the old order

    • I ended up just doing the purchase and return workaround. Its dumb how we even need to do that but ah well.

      • I had to do that with last prime item I bought as well
