These 6 way powerboards are suited to domestic and commercial applications. This powerboard is a high rated unit offering surge and overload protection to your appliances.     525 Joules energy absorption seems a bit lowish compared to other boards…other boards also cost more

    I'll admit though that those other boards also cost more

          Kidding aside, it just means that there are other boards available that have for eg. 2000 Joules energy absorption, which means they would be more effective and/or last longer as a surge protector.

      The non-switched version of the Jackson board, which has the same joule spec, was part of the Choice surge protector test a while back, and I recall it scored near the top and beat out more expensive boards.

      I'm not sure what methodology they used, but whatever it was, judging simply by the joule rating is surely weaker.

        Yes, that is 100% correct - the Jackson boards are great units - this is almost identical to the one that Choice tested, the only difference is that it also has the individual switches :)

    I just ordered mine (great price) but its says that 'you don't deliver to PO Boxes'.

    I asked my local PO about that and AAE do deliver to a PO Box.

    Will there be a problem with my order if I gave a PO Box address?

      Some products we can't deliver to PO boxes, which is where that rule comes from. In this case though, there is no problem sending these to PO boxes.

    freight is $11.98 plus GST = $13.18 to Brisbane CBD, not too bad considering I ordered 2 ie. 6 boards. :D

    Whilst these are good power-boards, it's a pity that there isn't sufficient spacing between the outlets which makes it wasteful when you connect boxy adaptor plugs. I'm quite pleased with the ones I got from last week's deal: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56789#comment-656886

    Are they actually RRP $119.95 each? or they are only $39.95 and you get 3 for that price?
    For a powerboard that is worth RRP $119.95 I would buy a better unit for that price. But if they 3 for the price of $39.95, that is a great price.

      They are $39.95 each RRP - so it would be $119.95 total if you were to go somewhere else and buy 3 of them.
