Anyone got and feedback on these?

I've got a xiaomi xiaofang that kinda does the job for monitoring the dog when I'm away from home, but keen to start getting out of the xiaomi ecosystem (shitty apps, broken English settings, it's a gamble whether the camera will connect etc).

    • I set-up a C200 the other day and ordered another 2 on this deal. The cam is very easy to set-up and works extremely well with the app; miles better than the Foscams I'm running which cannot be configured unless I reinstall an ancient Firefox browser.
I opted for the C200 over the Kasa model as I do not want to be paying after 2 years to access recordings; sd card recording is fine. Also, the Kasa models have a separate app, so go for one or the other.

      • Will this come with UK plug?

        • I would imagine so

      • what model are your foscams? are u selling them?

        • FI9826W. They amazingly still work but I've not bothered to get into the menu in a few years as the plugin does not work with browsers any-more and I got tired of stuffing around with Firefox profiles.  They've both been sitting on widow sills so don't look so good from all the sun. No point selling them; I'll just point them towards the inside of the house and run them as long as they last. Life's too short to be stuffing around with cameras which is what I liked about the Tapo,

    • i love my xiaomi setup
it even auto records to my nas

only issue is i also like to livestream to a spare monitor but get constant dropouts. it may due to the specific camera you have. some batches work better than others.

But i have not found anything comparable in price and features. These TP link ones do the same thing but dont have RTSP for streaming, which is a deal breaker for me

the only other option are buying WYZE cameras for official support and software, but for the price you might as well go better in terms of hardware. the reolink or sonoff seem to be the next level up

but at that point you are getting into $50 territory vs $15 xiaomi territory

      edit

      good news
looks like the C200 has RTSP! mightve been the kasa i was looking at which didnt have it

      • Awesome info, thanks

  • Thanks OP. Been looking out for a C200 2 pack and the cheapest I can find atm is $99. This saves me a few extra $'s

  • Anyone know the difference between this and the other listing for $57? https://www.amazon.com.au/TP-Link-Tapo-Detection-Control-C20…

Does this one have a UK cable and the other an Australian or are these the exact same thing just under different marketplaces?

  • So we will need uk PowerPoint adapter?

  • Says SD storage in the description

"TP-LINK Tapo Pan/Tilt Smart Security Camera, Indoor CCTV, 360° Rotational View, Works with Alexa & Google Home, No Hub Required, 1080p, 2-Way Audio, Night Vision, SD Storage, Free Tapo App (Tapo C200)"

C200 has SD card slot, (max 128GB)
KC110 only has cloud storage, no local SD Card slot, but has patrol mode feature.

  • this looks to be regular price? no sale discount

  • so i can watch the camera on google home hub?
