Highly recommend people pick up this pack. It's awesome.

It should come with the art book too which is a nice bonus.

Not much of a discount is it? PS4 same price.

PC version is $6.24 right now on steam:

So this is greater than 4 times the price. Switch owners ripped off again. Even the normal steam price is less than Nintendo's sale price.

I am more of a collector, so the artbook, reverse cover and the shiny cover are nice additions. But, not at this price point. Should have been $19.95

  • $26.41 for the same content digitally.

    • How big of a dl is it?

      • Base game says "required space 390MB"

    • Even cheaper if you just buy the base game - $18.86
      (DLC is $7.55)

For those wondering if they should the physical- The art book is pretty small but a nice addition along with the reversible Mega Drive styled cover.

I couldn't get into this game.. I just don't get the shining reviews.. each to their own though.

trading on nostalgia, mainly. I liked the first Sonic, Sonic 2 added a few new elements but nothing game changing, Sonic 3 was a drudge and more of the same. The level design and innovation just wasnt on par with Mario. If anything I considered Rocket Knight Adventures the best platform game on Mega Drive.

I will say though, if you walked into a Big W circa 1991 and saw the Emerald Hill Zone playing on the TV (the demo screen was basically a loop of the first stage), it looked absolutely stunning. It was one of those jaw dropping moments that only comes along very occasionally in gaming.

Wow this is insane… Who would pay for this? Just download the ROMs for free and be done with it…. Waste of money

    • I hope this is a joke.

No it's not, grab an emulator, download the ROMs and save yourself $30.

        • You're a real piece of… Work. You don't deserve to be enjoying these classic games if you don't see any issue with stealing them. Get a job, grow up and learn how to support the gaming industry.

Why buy any media when you can just pirate, then?

It's not even like you're talking about an old game here either. Sonic Mania was released in 2017, and to emulate it, you'd need to be emulating current systems.

  • How many hours of gameplay?

    • From memory, 2-3hrs for a playthrough per character if you try and collect all the chaos emeralds. You can play through as Sonic/Tails/Knuckles/Mighty/Ray on separate playthroughts (each having slightly different routes/areas to explore) and then there's the "Plus" content which offers a further remix of the levels and new gimmicks to mess around with between all the characters. So if you play through everything with every character… maybe 15-20hrs or more?
