    I got one of these. It works, gets too hot to touch. Not sure how it differs from any other hub/adapter and why this gets all the ozB hoops.

    Also a lightning deal on the VA-UC010 for the next three hours or so - $39.99 down from $49.99.

    I went with that one as the port layout looks better than the 006.

      Same also bought that the uc010.

      Wonder if OP is able to let us know any key differences other than port layout?
      Would cancel the uc010 and get the 006 if can find improvements.

        Impression from my quick googling was that downsides of 010 are that it's bigger than most hubs, and one usb is 2.0 only. Downsides of 006 were more from the size - usb ports too close together, hinged ethernet port and runs hot. 006 also has a 3.5mm audio jack (edit: not according to this listing).

        Reckon it mostly comes down to what fits on your desk better.
