  Yeah this set hasn't seen many sales/discounts since it launched in August 2018 and the historical low was strangely enough just 3 months after it was released.

  A very impressive set that still ranks as the second-largest Technic set thus far (the Liebherr R 9800 has more pieces but isn't as tall as the RTC when the boom is fully extended and raised), however the build for the RTC is a blink-and-you'll-screw-it-up kind of exercise that's definitely not recommended for Technic first-timers.

    Even if you didn't hesitate, there were probably 5 units of stock that all got Brodened (as is the case with all Amazon Lego deals), so you still had a pretty slim chance.

        Well that's a switch for Amazon; most of their Lego deals are over in 20 minutes or less.
