    How many goddamn vacuum models are there within the xiaomi range? This is cannibalism, isn't it? There's the xiaowa, the roborock, now this.

      It's sort of a range brand for Xiaomi… I grabbed one of these on their launch a couple of months ago and haven't looked back :) It does everything that I wanted at least, lidar, virtual walls, multiple maps, bit of mopping - though I haven't actually tested it yet.
      Handles rugs and wood flooring quite happily, granted I haven't had any experience with the more expensive ones, but I struggle to see how this doesn't stack up - particularly to the tune of $500 savings, so highly recommended for me :)

        Thanks, bought, will see how it goes. I've got the F9 dreame but it's a bit dumb because it uses VSLAM instead of Lidar

          It doesn't, it's the whole Xiaomi home app thing. Sorry, I should've thought to mention that in my previous post, it's not an issue for us so I don't think about it.

    From specs. This Viomi does everything that the Roborock series does but costs half the price of the Roborock series. other than specs says it doesn't do the automatic extra suction when it rolls over carpets.
