      The flavour is really nice, however, it leaves your mouth really black. Not sure, but could be colouring they add. I wasn’t a fan of that. But I’m just comparing it to rice workshop black sesame, which is more dark grey with black seeds throughout, whereas this one is really, artificially (?), black. 6L is a lot to get through, and the more you eat the harder it is to get the black stains out. But if that doesn’t bother you, it’s delicious. I was a little disappointed in the staining factor, as I wasn’t expecting that from ice cream. Even after brushing my tongue, it was still black. I wouldn’t recommend it for that reason.

    Only downside from fleeing Melbourne! This gelato seriously is the best, loved my salted caramel last order. I recommend to anyone thinking about it!

    Anyone tried the durian one, would be keen to know if it is like the Asian durian ice cream in grocery stores?

      I’ve tried it. They use real durian. 15-18% of the gelato volume is durian. Strong durian flavour IMO. Creamy and smooth. Recommend it. Not sure which icecream you’re referring to.

    Couldn't recommend this gelato any more highly it's delicious and I don't even like ice cream that much this stuff is very good.

    Luckily we've got a big family and willing to share but we've tried 9 flavours it's becoming quite addictive.

    @MilkMilk: ? We have some family in Kinglake West they're out of Melbourne metro. What would be your minimum order amount to do a delivery out there if that was possible I'd love to send them some.

        Not all of them are currently available but the dark chocolate gelato dairy-free is amazingly good for something that doesn't have dairy in it.

        Lemon sorbet very refreshing and with a great zing.

        I don't mind the mango sorbet but I feel it's a bit more tropical then mango.

        The honeycomb has a great flavour but is a little icy not as creamy as I would have expected.

        Biscoff strangely it's a bit crumbly which you would expect from a biscuit but not so much from an ice cream has some good spices a bit more Christmas flavoured then biscoff we think.

        The mint is great but you've really got to like mint it's very strong.

        Unicorn is extremely creamy I think it's a bit like blue heaven and strawberry not so fairy floss but fairy floss is each to their own what it tastes like.

        The normal chocolate he's not as strong as the dark chocolate I would describe it more like a chocolate brownie.

        Peanut butter Nutella not available but that was very good.

        I think that's all of them we've tried

    I remember reading somewhere you guys were going to reduce the sugar on your next batch from the last post. Did this happen? I'm seriously down to by more. I enjoyed the gelato but it was a bit too sweet for me.

        Review
        Kinderella: taste just alike a Bueno, with a very distinct hazelnut after taste.

        Black sesame: can really taste the black sesame, not as creamy as rice workshop soft serve though. Can confirm it does not stain you mouth/teeth.

        Greentea: good amount of green tea and well balanced with the sweetness.

    Got my 15L of gelato order this week! loving the mango sorbet so far but the "biscoff" was sadly, quite disappointing. Was expecting it to taste more like biscoff like the way my local gelato place makes it, not sure what to do with the 5L now

    Was a little disappointed that my cookies&cream was replaced with chocolate without letting me know beforehand.. a call, a message, or an email would have sufficed. The order took more than a week to fill - that's plenty of time to have notified me..

    What's even worse was the delivery guy told me to call the office, then person at said office said (on Friday) that "one of the girls from the office will give you a call on Monday".. Monday comes along and I had to make the call at 5pm myself to chase up..
    And only by this 3rd phone call when I had expressed my dissatisfaction with not being notified, I got a "yeah sorry mate we just ran out" (the first notion of an apology). And then that was it, no offer for at least part of a refund or anything :\ even when I had expressed that I'd be keen to make further orders since I've heard good reviews about the durian.

    Nevertheless, the ice cream was just fine - I've only had mango, lemon and pistachio so far. Pistachio's a little sweet for my liking but that might just be me.

    Anyway, I understand it's a small business and appreciate that a lot of people have enjoyed the ice cream! But please just also remember to respect your customers who want to support your business. It doesn't take very much to own up to a mistake - don't make them chase you down for an explanation..
