  • Is this any different to the other aerospace 303 bottle (the one people use for their jacuzzi covers)? Thinking about getting it to refresh some old outdoor furniture

Someone on here says that the Bunnings equivalent is just as good (and much cheaper):

    • Thanks I'm gonna try it out

      Silicone vs Water based

      • +1

The bunnings one is Silicone also. BTW all silicone like this is way too thick, you'll waste a lot. I generally water it down 50/50 or more, and it lasts a hell of a lot longer and works just as well.

It's good stuff but make sure you buff it off otherwise it can feel greasy.

  • Would this stuff be good for a mx5 convertible soft top?

    • No. You'll need Scotchgard for that

      • +1

The sticker on the bottle has an red Na mx5 soft top showing at the background

    • yes if it is vinyl, no if its canvas

I use vinyl protectant on my Na mx5 soft top, it makes it black and shiny, feels being prootected

I use 303 Fabric Guard for my ND MX5 with OK result. It probably last a few washes.

      • Fabric Guard is good - just don't get it on the rear window. It spotted mine and took ages to come off.

    • Anyone use raggtop for an NC mx5?

    • I used to use it on my old vinyl top NA before upgrading to a mohair top, it works ok but it also runs off all over your paint when the car gets wet.

  • Anyone know the difference between the blue bottle here and the white bottle here?

    • +1

      Same same apparently

    • I'm pretty sure the white is for interior, I tried it and didn't like it. I prefer Meguiar's as it has no gloss.

I want oil on my trim I'll just go with armorall which is cheaper and more greasy

      • It says interior and exterior on both labels.

I can highly recommend Carpro Perl if people are considering this stuff, it has far more uses as you can dilute it to the strength required for the job.

Warning….do NOT use ArmorAll ….it actually attracts dirt,

    • +1

I stopped using ArmorAll about 20 years ago because it always left residue, seemed to attract dust, and my windows would all fog up inside. Nowadays I only use silicone free products.
