    65 :(

  • Are these the HDMI 2.1 tvs?

    • Yes

    • Yes

    • +1

Yes, ideal for PS5. 75" all gone now.

      • there was only one..

  • +2

75" Sold out.. I added the last one to cart and didn't check out fast enough. :(..

  • Can somebody please tell me why the List price of 75inches is different and much less than the other retailers.

    • +9

It's the list price of the box damaged version I believe. They seem to enjoy damaging boxes.

      • +2

Japan has rooms to release your stress, Sony employees must have entered the wrong room

  • -2

55" is too small these days

    • Agree, though in some instances it is better for some.

    • +39

These days? Size is all about the space its in, not the time its purchased..

      • +1

Nah I agree, it is too small these days. Even Sony is doing their very best to actively encourage people to buy bigger. Their spiel is that "Advances in technology and design mean you can have a larger screen within your existing space" so its more about the tech and less about the space.

      • in 2001 you could walk into a Harvey Norman and they had 40" Plasma TV's for $20,000 .. That was as large as they came.

These DAYS a 40" TV will set you back $199 and TV's go all the way up to 86" in size. My brother purchased an LG 86" TV at the end of last year for $2800 off an ebay sale.

        • +7

It very much depends on the space. There's several good calculators online that show you the best size based on the distance you sit.

          • +2

@GunnerMcDagget: This. 8K or 4K is useless if you have a 75inch and it's mounted on the wall a few metres away from your kitchen. All comes down to the viewing distances as you said,.and the available space in your home.

        • -3

          Cool story bro

Let us know when he gets the 292inch screen

        • Pretty sure there's bigger. 100" from memory

  • Don't think these had auto refresh rate if you wanted that for your next gen consoles

    • +4

      its coming in an update

      • Oh nice. Haven't read about that happening on these. Definitely a good price and option then since it seems like QDOLED won't be out till '22

        • TLC and Hisense are planing to have them out next year along with mini-led TV's.. Samsung delayed QD-OLED until 2022 and will only bring out mini LED TV's

          • @vid_ghost: Boo mini LED
For huge number of dimming zones I'd go with Hisense's dual panel approach (also because the dual panels ends up with 14 bit colour depth)

            • @ChadHominem: Mini LED LCD has the drawback of higher latency due to layers and complexity of those layers adding delay.
For movies its fine for as a gaming TV… OLED or QD-OLED willl be the go do tech then QNED in 2022>>

            • -1

              @ChadHominem: Reviews aren't that amazing and it's not 14bit… It's a bit of false advertising…
TCL already have the mini-led model out. Just over $4k for the 65"…

              • @Maz78: I didn't downvote you.
Yeah I realise the reviews aren't amazing but I feel like the approach has more potential than whatever comes between now and micro-led. Also I realise it's not "proper" 14 bit, but 8+4 bit + frc is still better than anything else available

  • Wonder what my chances are of negotiating JB Hifi to a similar price, have a $100 gift card and seriously considering the Telstra deal for another $400..

  • Any cash back ?

  • +2

    Ah theres only 5 75" tvs…:(

However, I reckon we could probably get this price still as its only 10% off rrp.

    • I'm pretty sure this is around 33% off RRP..

      • +3

You need to compare apples to apples…It was confirmed in another thread that $2995 is now the new RRP.

        • +1

I did in fact look up the wrong TV, apologies, it is only 10% off RRP haha

  • Should I hold off if I'm only buying this for the PS5 but won't be getting one until a couple months after the release?

  • Picked up the 55 inch the other day. Amazing TV.

  • +1

I saw 75" for around $2950 today at costco. Around 10% off is still ok.

    • I believe you get the extra warranty at Costco for free as well

      • No you don't. That went away long ago. You just get your basic manufactureras and ACL rights

        • If u buy a tv at Costco and the tv has 1 2 3 manufacturing warranty you get at least 3 year on top or more as long as u keep up the membership
I asked yesterday about this at Epping

          • @Dex38313: Not really, it's your ACL rights they give you. I've enquired the same thing at docklands and they said no (but your ACL right, just easier to deal with them) not like the "for aslong as your membership was active" it once was for a couple years here

  • Hey guys, might be a silly question, but couldn't find the information. Are these TV's still covered by standard warranty when sold through eBay?

  • +14

    absolute steal at this price.

Seriously. Calm down, it's like 10% off.

    • It would have been a steal if it was OLED

  • -8

    Model: KD75X9500H
I got one from Sony for $1695
    I assume I got a good price
    https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/207116/83751/f013eea7-…

    • +5

What?? From where? Any chance you could upload a receipt please? :D

    • +3

      from Sony? how?

    • +1

It's ~$4000 TV… How did you get for this price?

    • It is fxxking crazy man! May I ask how you got it for this price please? Cheers.

    • What's the difference between x9500H and x9000H? Anyone know?

      • +2

X9000 better for next gen gaming.

X9500 has no hdmi 2.1 but better hdr performance.

Ultimately if VRR/hdmi 2.1 features not of interest then X9500 probably better.

      • +3

Feel free to correct me .. I think x95 is better for movies and general tv and x90 better for games with hdmi 2.1

    • Do you mean $2695?! Even then thats kinda cheap…

      • +1

        busted and price jacked

        • +1

This person looks like they only sell for a profit there’s 4 watches by the looks

          • +1

@Dex38313: Wait but that's your photo?

            • @BeerCrisp: It is theirs. Item location is country Vic which matches there ozb location 😂 I wanna name them Bowden II

            • @BeerCrisp: I am really interested in figuring out what is happening here. Based on the items listed in with that seller, either that is cash converters or a person who got his 16 year son working as sony rep. Damn, OLED Tvs , Multiple noice canceling head phones etc. Or, May be this guy is a negotiation genius. I am intrigued.

        • alright this guy is a genius. He finds a bargain in here. Uses his negotiation skills to get better bargain. He is open about it to fellow ozbargainers. And sell it back at retail price and make a living. I can’t complain about it. Good for him. Very smart too.

          • @amazonaddict: Yeah good on you Dex

          • @amazonaddict: Partially agree, that's 25% more than retail price

            • +2

@ozzbargainer: He risked buying 4 of them TCL tvs paying cash betting the prices will go back up. He deserves to sell at whatever the price he wants.

He had to find 4 customers who were willing to 1) buy a tv without a warranty, 2) pick up from a random stranger 3) at higher price than retail. What are the odds, He sold 2 of them already. Look at his rating too. He is very successful with this model.

While, here I am, getting $150 + 8 games as offers for my ps4 pro from gumtree.

      • +6

OMG you guys are bloody private investigators lol

    • +4

Rung Sony, quoted the order number, they said this price was for a trade-in on a broken TV.

      • Double busted

      • +1

LOL same here and the guy said did you just call me before? Im like nope… we're from the same "community group" so maybe that's how we both called haha.

He said please stop calling us about this price request.

        • +1

          LOLOLOL

        • I dare say they got a few calls :) Lucky them.

          • @Mr Poopybutthole: Hopefully other OzB users scroll down to our message and stop.

Saves ozBargainers the painful hold music and wasting their time and sony staff reps time. he seemed deflated not getting any sales

  • +1

what's so good about these seems kinda expensive

    • it supports full array local dimming (better contrast and colours) as well as HDMI 2.1 for next gen consoles

  • JB HiFi refused to give me a discount when i found out my pickup soundbar is box damaged

    • just return it then

    • +1

Were you buying it for the box?

  • +1

I bought a 75" last time they had box damaged. The box was in brand new condition :)

    • +1

But the tv had been damaged by the sturdy box?

      • Im prob missing the joke here. TV was brand spanking new too. Just sony's way of getting rid of excess stock without pissing off retailers.

  • OOS guess the moral of the story is buy now think later

    • +3

I think that would be one of the main ozbargain commandments

      • 68. ACCC on speed dial.
        69. Buy Now, Think Later

  • would it be better than A8H OLED?

    • Definitely not, unless you're solely gaming. But in terms of picture quality the A8H will be much better. But also much more expensive.

  • -2

I noticed they have 65in for sale too! https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/283979489173

    Get in quick

    • +4

      X8000H

  • Just got my box damaged 65” X9000H from the last sale.

Turned up with no box damage at all, in brand new condition. Sticker on the back says the TV was built last month.

    Very happy!!!

  • whats the best bang for buck TV under $1000 these days? i have a 42 sanyo with chromecast so anything is an improvement. dont want stupid adds though.

    • +1

My advice is to check YouTube for reviews on the best bang for buck TVs in 2020.. from the ones I watched it was Hisense and TLC 120Hz (120FPS) panels with high Nits for HDR

Ratings.com is good too.. but just need to figure out what TV is what as names are not the same for each country.. lol so stupid they can't name TVs the same everywhere

  • Bought one of the 55 inch models on Monday night, for delivered today. Box is in perfect condition, zero regrets

  • Does the invoice for this state that the box is damaged? Just wondering whether I should buy it when it is available again and make use of the credit card price protection

    • How will boxed damage buy effect the price protection? There is a very very slim chance a retailer will have it cheaper to make the claim

      • You have a year to make a claim so there is a slight chance you will find it cheaper at the end of the selling cycle. The claim application asks whether the item was purchased damaged. Obviously the unit isn't damaged but the box is
