Magicka is a satirical action-adventure game set in a rich fantasy world based on Norse mythology. The player assumes the role of a wizard from a sacred order tasked with stopping an evil sorcerer who has thrown the world into turmoil, his foul creations besieging the forces of good.

Players will be able to combine the elements to cast spells, wreaking havoc and devastation on the minions of darkness. They will also be able to team up with friends and fight their way through the campaign, or test their skills in the magickal arts through other challenging modes.

In Magicka, up to four players take on a grand adventure to save their world from certain doom using a fully dynamic spell system. The adventure mode takes the players across three different levels, ranging from the lush forests of mountain valleys to the frozen halls of the Mountain King where wits and creative thinking are the keys to victory.

In the unlockable hardcore challenge mode, players fight off waves of enemies to earn their place on local and online leaderboards.

  i agree its an awesome game

  however i played it recently and it was full of bugs, (well compared to the old version). still playable tho.

    be prepared to be frustrated, the bugs are not for the faint hearted.

    you could still finish the game but it will be a struggle.

    the free to play part is great, (its best 2-4 player co=op with friends)

    u could finish this in a weekend easily!

  Fun to play if it's working. Got a few hours out of the multiplayer but 90% of the time at least one of the party's game would crash. Worth $2.50 if you don't mind pushing through the bugs

    It should appear in your game library and next to it is a countdown timer showing when the f2p period expires.

    Aww :( There goes my plan to have a game on my laptop. My Intel card can do TF2 really well on low graphics though.

    I know I could have just gotten a better laptop but when I bought this one I wanted something thin and light and I told myself I was over PC gaming :(

    I don't know if any such mods exist for Magicka but at least we've got tf2?

  good game, i paid 15 when i came out and was not disappointed.
  +1 bargain (easily get a whole night out of it, or much more if you try to unlock all the spells!)
