I just bought it last night, played 50+ hours already, fantastic game. Highly recommend. Loved KCD1 and this is an excellent sequel

Can I ask if you played much of #1? I put about 8 hours into the first one earlier this year and I just couldn't fully get into it. Downloading this now, considering doing a quick Youtube recap of the first so I'm not missing out story-wise
Yeah put like 80+ hours into #1. Honestly if #1 didn't catch your attention you'll probably find the same from #2
Yeh that's fair, I can definitely see the appeal of it, admittedly what drew me in was seeing so many reels etc of people playing and loving #2 so I thought I'd try #1 first. I'll give this one a crack this afternoon since it's free and see if it hits any different!
I bought KCD1 for like $11 after KCD2 came out because I was always intrigued but didn't know if I'd like it enough to throw a lot more money for KCD2. Loved KCD and I finally finished KCD2 last night.
It's a lot like KCD1 so if you couldn't get into 1 then yeah I wouldn't jump into 2
I played through KCD1 after getting it for free on EGS, it was janky but I loved the story and characters.
KCD2 improves on the first game in literally every way, its a genuine 10/10 and I'm praying they make a 3rd game in future.

This combat in this one is a lot easier than in the first game, it's also been simplified. You still have the difficult early game when you don't know anything, but by the end of the game is trivially easy.

Tried it for a few hours but although I think they say its meant to be open world, it seemed overly scripted with not a lot of choices to make. Basically dragged along the script with little ability to choose strategy.
I guess I will need to play this one on hardcore with all negative perks turned on. That's how I finished 2nd run of KCD1. It'd be fun to do it on the first run and to get lost a few times. :)
