for the record i’m not mad they cancelled (they’re within right to do so), i’m just mad they sent out ready for collection message for which i did go into c&c parking bay and staff comes later to tell it had to be cancelled.
Same here. Went to collect at 9.15am. She said my order was packed and she had to unpack it due to head office email. Should have gone at 8.30.

Head office has cancelled them all centrally meaning the order numbers aren't even showing up in-store and therefore can't be fulfilled.
Got the notification text that the order was ready so ducked down before 9am just in case this happened. Glad I did now!

No chance unfortunately, it's been pulled from the JB website.
After I got the cancellation order email, I called Officeworks to Price Match. They said they can do it for $151, and took my payment and deliver details. Has anybody used this service before? Are they likely to cancel on me too before delivery?

I have no idea. I told the person over the phone, this is the price and it's at JB. They said "yes that's good we can do that." They then took my payment and details.

@gheygan: It is probably in their system from other people price matching JB when it was available and they didn't bother to re-check as a result. If they do bother to re-check at some point then I guess it is likely to stop.

I ummed and arred about it last night. I already have one but ave found ive been using it less in recent months. I think i may also wait for the Chromecast Google TV to go on sale(sure it will at Christmas) and give that a go.

I got it through Suncorp so maybe contact who you bought it from? I doubt they'll refund tho, it seems from the wording in the cancellation email that they'll be sending a new gift card so it won't be the same gift card as before

This happened to me with the TGG deal on Google Home Hub and I hated it when the order got cancelled as I was stuck with the gift cards. The issuers won't take it back as you have opened the gift card. I sold mine on Ozbargain forums at a discounted price.
Now with deals like this where there is a risk, I prefer to opt for Cashback rather than buying discounted gift cards or best just price match it at Office works.

Based in Melbourne so clicked on the link saying I was on my way and entered my car rego. Just as I left home I received the cancellation email, but they still honoured the deal when I picked up from the loading bay.

My order got canceled. It’s sad to see the company has huge profits increase didn’t honour the purchase.
Updates: still picked up mine after around 2pm today.
Dang it, now next best option might be joint catch club, use my discount catch cards, apply cashrewards 1% discount for a total of 16% off comes to $166.32 by my calculations, only a few dollars more.

exactly my thoughts. I have the ATV4 running well, looking for a 4K TV will prob get android TV so 4K apps mostly like netflix etc should be covered anyway
But at $160 for this would be good cause im sure would have been useful and lasted me long enough. ATV4 still running strong.

Yeah - i really dont mind the price error, but the slowwww refund with JB is the issue and the "we are within our rights" email is such poor customer service in this day and age. Also, they amount of time it took for them to notice! I will never under stand why big companies dont have an ozb alert set up so they can see what is being posted/make sure it is correct!
Compare this to my amazon experience yesterday with a slightly damaged book that came from America - no worries, sorry about that, we can organise a refund and you can keep it due to it not being in stock anymore!
@JuryWheel: Agree. Amazon is great. They always try to work with customers with issues as for them brand image is important. I had refund given due to incorrect item or items arriving really late. Can’t say the same for JB.
Picked up on the dot at 9am. They had all kinds of troubles at the checkout with the click and collect as they couldn't seem to close the transaction but after about 15 mins not being able to figure out what was wrong, they let me leave with it after signing something saying I'd picked it up. Received price error email as I got back in my car 2 mins later! LOL
