Great pan, waiting for the 12" round one to come on sale again

Love my lodge, use it twice a week at minimum. Great for searing steaks, been using them for potatoes recently as well.

    • Same, great for so many things, steaks, burgers (particularly smash style), one pan pastas like a cheesy chorizo one, eggs and bacon, etc…

  • 10" seems too small, what do people think? No I'm not a size queen..

    • +1

In my humble opinion, it is better to go the large size than small if price is similar just in case you need to cook extra when friends come over.

I agree 100%, and from my measurements I doubt this thing could even handle a nice T-Bone steak 😬

I'm in Melbourne, i do not understand the line "when friends come over" ??

        • +2

          what are "friends"?

        • Come over to where? There's nothing outside these four walls.

  • Can I use this on ceramic stove?

    • yes

  • Good pan, very easy to reseason if you need to.

    • How do you do it?

      • +1

On the stove get the pan hot and spread an even coating of oil around. The put it in the oven at 250 for about an hour. Repeat a second time. You want to really coat it, not dripping but not too thin.

Im hoping the 12" comes on sale soon because ive been after one for a while.

Any idea how the australian fresh skillets compare to these lodge ones?

  • can it match with the other crape pan? I wonder if I can use the crape pan for this as a lid?

  • Waiting for the deep skillet one on discount.

  • btw, what is everyone else buying to make up the free prime delivery?

  • This is a better deal - TWO pans and 12 inch: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B08H2J8N3J?ref_=pe_2361882_2972…

Lodge is a known brand with a certain quality. made in the USA

Not sure what the other brand, the quality or where its made

      This is a better deal

      Chinese no name vs Lodge….hmmm.

They're even stealing parts of the Lodge description the lazy pricks! Haven't read all of both product descriptions and would be surprised if more has been copied.

We don't just make cast iron; we make heirlooms that bring people together for generations.

  • Love mine!
