Hello - my nephew is having his birthday soon and he is into boats. Was thinking of buying him an RC boat that goes fast and far.
Any recommendations of where to buy and also what brand to purchase would be great! Ideally purchase price is (maximum) $200 (don't have a job and am halving with my brother).
Regardless of age I probably would have just got a model boat kits or one for the bath tub.
And it would be good to know what type of boats in particular.

First one died quickly but the warranty replacement has been going strong for a few months now, great for the price, it's slow but for a 5 year old perfect.

I wonder if you can get one of those little ones made of real wood, like in the movies where the old man wants to play with his little ornate wooden remote boat with his captain's hat on, then some punk kid comes along with a modern looking remote speed boat. The kid harasses the old man's boat, the old man thinks he can hold his own, but invariably his little wooden boat ends up sinking and he comes up with some crazy plan to build a remote boat with weapons or whatever. It's a classic trope and your nephew probably wants to be the old man in that scenario.
