If it already wasn’t messy enough, developer Remedy may have dug themselves into a deeper hole. Their hit title Control is now under more controversy after players with Deluxe Editions have accidentally been upgraded to Ultimate, until it was reverted back.
This comes right after Remedy was under fire for not letting players receive free next-gen upgrades unless they bought Ultimate Editions. As to giving an explanation why, Remedy said this on their community blog,
The upgrade path that we are offering is only possible when upgrading from the same version of the game. As we are only doing additional development on Control Ultimate Edition on the next gen platforms, we are unfortunately unable to offer an upgrade path to all existing Control players.
Is that even relevant to PC?

Amazing game. Played through it twice. Wish my new graphics card would hurry up and arrive so I can play through it a 3rd time.
What does ultimate Ed include?
Control Ultimate Edition contains the main game and all previously released Expansions ("The Foundation" and "AWE") in one great value package.
