I'm just going to do the game pass trial to play the game when I want to, but as far as 'Sony fan boys' go, I really don't think they care… Game pass is amazing value, but the fact is, it doesn't appeal to everyone. I play across all platforms and when you look at them without bias, you'll realise that each platform offers something unique.
Xbox has game pass which is amazing value (especially through the monthly payment plan from Telstra which also gets you the console itself). Sony has the best story driven single player games and I'm quite happy to pay for those. And the Switch gives you access to portable gaming. In short, people are limiting their options by only choosing to play on one platform.
If you consider all the options in an unbiased manner you'll realise that not everything holds the same value to everyone. I for example have two Xbox One consoles, but I'm not subscribed to game pass as I generally just buy the games I'm interested in.
