    Does this do Atmos?

    • +6

Only if you're doing it right.

    • +16

More immersive than Atmos. The entire room spins

Same price also on Amazon via prime + usual cashbacks

    • Thanks

6% cashback on cashrewards or ShopBack. Vs 2.5% on this via cashrewards. Even if you had Amazon Prime AND discounted wish cards (as I do), Amazon is still better if you value your time (3.5% more cashback + delivery beats 5% discount from wish cards with no delivery). Or to put it another way : it's worth more than $0.73 to get it delivered 😉

My go-to reasonably priced gin (when its on sale).

  • +9

Best Gin at this price point IMHO

    • How does this compare to Bombay?

      • +2

        I like the Bombay too.
I feel it is smoother, almost fruity.

  • +3

I bought this from Costco a few months ago and can confirm it's a really nice gin. Worth a try for this price.

  • +2

How do you guys like to have your gin?
E.g. gin and tonic, neat, or any other interesting combinations?

    • +5

A nice tonic (i.e. not Schweppes) try Fever Tree
I like the Roku on ice though

      • I like Schweppes tonic (not the diet version though which is rank). The Aldi tonic is not bad either.

        • +1

Schweppes is OK. Fever Tree is excellent, but just too expensive - not worth the premium over Schweppes. I'd probably stretch to the Fever Tree if the bottles were 300ml like the Schweppes, since that's just about enough to get 2 G&T's out of, and I'm usually drinking them with my wife so it works out well. But at 200ml it's probably too much for 1 but not enough for 2, so you end up needing to open 2 anyway.

    • Tonic, ice, lemon slice, short glass

    • +5

my mate told me to add around 3-4 slices of cucumber into whatever gin mix. It's honestly so good, super refreshing.

      • +5

I usually have cucumber with Hendricks. Otherwise lemon or lime.

        Haven't tried the Roku though

        • Bombay doesn't need lemon as it already has lemon peel as an ingredient. A bit of lime is okay though. Read it on their website years ago.

        • +2

Roku goes really well with ginger.

Try a Negroni. Equal parts gin, Campari and red vermouth. That's my go to cocktail these days.
My favourite tonic is the Capi dry, not too sweet.

      • +1

A classic cocktail - all alcohol too!

      • +1

Maybe my taste buds aren't refined but I tend to use a cheaper gin in my negronis. Do you guys taste much of the Gin in a negroni?

      • -1

How pretentious do you wanna get?

    • +3
    • Tonie and a squeeze of an orange.

    • +7

      Soda water + lime.

      Tonic affects the gin flavours.

      • +5

Yep I am beginning to enjoy my gins with soda instead of tonic. I find you can taste the gin much more, plus not to mention the copious amounts of sugar that tonic has.

        • +1

Thats why I mostly buy the 'Sugar Free' tonic these days.

      • +1

Yeah once you go soda and lime you can't go back to Tonic.

    • +3

Dry martini, all the way. Although play with martinis, I've had the occasional good dirty one, sometimes with bitters is good, with a really good vermouth I might go heavy on that and make it a wet one, but usually just go 2:1 with a decent gin, stir over ice and into a glass (never, ever shake it).

I'm not a fan of tonic, so I go gin, soda water, fresh mint and lime/lemon (whichever I have on hand, lime is better). Add some simple syrup and you have a tom collins if someone likes the sweet/sour twist.

    • This particular gin works great with tonic and a slice of fresh ginger

    • Lime juice, salt and mint leaves.

    • +1

      Sipping on it and juice
While I'm rolling down the street smoking indo

Edit: lol anyone else have a hemp gin ad on this page?

    • tonic or Fever Tree with Elderflower syrup! Highly recommend. :)

    • I love this gin becuase for some reason it tastes really good with Schweppes Tonic water, which is cheap.
Lime wedge and grapefruit bitters work well with this.

    • Usually half soda, half tonic with either lime, cucumber or a sprig of rosemary.

  • Nice bottle

    • +3

The contents of it are pretty good, too! :D

      Thanks for this!

  • Stocked up, awesome price.

  • This actually sounds like a nice gin!

  • +1

Is the normal price around $54?

    • +4

It's currently $67 at Liquorland but it's almost always available somewhere for around $54.

  • +2

    Good price.
Should also be $49.50 at First Choice today with their 10% off if that's more convenient than Uncle Dan's for anyone.
