quick question I know that when your an Ebay plus member a phone number comes up for Ebay support I am not an Ebay plus member(on my main account am having trouble logging) but I know that this number still works even if your not plus member
so could someone list the number below

Bit weird. People could work from home, no risk or whatever to keep voice support available.
I wouldn't say there's no risk. eBay's staff would have to be willing to use their home computers, assuming they have one, and there is always a risk associated with using an unsecured private home computer on an unsecured home network to access sensitive user account information of a high-profile target like eBay.
VPN, BYOD, Group Polcy, Remote Desktop…. theirs a LOT of options to provide secure access to a remote network.
@thedriver: And all of them carry risks. An employee's home computer that's infected with a trojan connecting to the corporate VPN is not an ideal scenario. Group policies wouldn't apply to a home computer that's not joined to the domain. Keyloggers work great with remote desktop.
If you read what I said again, you should note that I never said there's NO way to have secure access to a remote network. I said there is always a risk associated with using an unsecured home computer on an unsecured home network to access sensitive data of a high-profile target like eBay.
