Philips shavers are crap. I recently had my second one die on me in just over 2 years - conveniently both died literally within a few weeks of warranty expiring. First one I bought was on a "like it for 3 months or return for 100% of purchase price" promo… I really wish I returned it while I had the chance.
I think the mark up for these shavers is a lot higher here than the Amazon USA. So im not sure by taking $100 off the rrp will be cheaper than the ones in Amazon.
I agree. You can get the next model up, the RQ1280, for AUD$241 delivered from Amazon.

The Amazon shaver sale a few months ago posted here was much much better. Even non-sale prices on Amazon beat the crappy RRP we pay. Back then Amazon was certainly shipping to Oz so unless they have changed policy…

Look at the prices of Bricks and Mortar stores like Good Guys, Shaver Shop, Myer, DJs and they are all over $400 for the RQ1250.

I bought an early model with the jet clean system (abt 5 years ago). The solution is expensive, and they recommend changing it quite often (I think once every so many weeks). I ended up not using the jet clean part of it.
Also worth noting that replacing the rotary blades is extremely expensive (easily about $70 a set).
