These are actually the best copy of the original giant sandwich (ie: before they changed the recipe or producer and stuffed up the giant sandwich).

Now if only somebody could correctly reproduce the original vienetta.

    Showing my age perhaps.

    • Haha yeah wow! I didn't actually get them, so good to have the confirmation! I have only tried the woolies ones but have heard the Coles ones trump.

    • Did you try the ALDI vienetta copy? If you did, what did you think? I missed out on trying and apparently it was a limited time thing

Likely store specific, I'm assuming you mean Macquarie Centre?

    • North ryde the newly opened one

      • Didn't realise there was another one, whereabouts?

Just Google mapped it, and ha, yeah it's just North of north ryde, technically into Macquarie park, but at lachlans square. Under the new apartment-land.

wish they have fresh food for sale half price rather than junk foods.

    • Farmers markets are always cheaper where I live and they're all open! Much fresher produce too.

    • There is actually a LOT of food there half price or more. Got a few packs of sausages for $1.50. But mostly marked down stuff, rather than fresh fresh.

      • sausages are processed food. No thanks

        • Haha yeah true!! Definitely the budget ones too… :(

  • Yum

  • These are grouse!

  • Anyone know where to find monaco bars in SYD?

  • The North Ryde store is nice enough, but they really stuffed up their product selections in the bakery/deli. They never seem to have any sweet pastries in stock, they don't have those lovely fresh flatbreads and they persist in stocking these stupidly upmarket David Jones Food Hall products which don't sell.

    • Fresh flatbread…. yommmmm…. Yeah pity. It seems to be a more automated/streamlined store. I saw woolies has the fresh flatbreads now too, they certainly cottoned on.
