My friend and I brought ocZ 64gb ssds from centreCON once. Both faulty on arrival. Took months to get a refund… They said they never received them, filed claim with Aussie post. Aussie post was able to prove delivery. Took this evidence back to Centrecon, 4 weeks later no refund.

Ended up running an ASIC company search and finding the owners PO box and mailing him to get it sorted out… And l ended up with was my refund, and nothing more.

    • ASIC company search is free?

      • Not owner’s address. Had to do same to provide to VCAT.

Centrecom have been screwing us around also. MSI mobo was faulty sent it back to Centrecom. They had it for a month before they concluded it was a manufacturer fault. They said that they would send to MSI for rectification and that it could take up to 2 months. We advised them that we would rather a replacement from Centrecom and that they could work it out with MSI. Centrecom refused. We requested a refund, Centrecom Refused. This is after we pointed out our consumer protections under the ACL. CentreCom still refused replacement/refund. We now have to wait and are considering a VCAT matter against these practices. Long story short, I'm with you @nathland, will never do business with Centrecom and steer anyone away who asks me of them.

I got one of these on the weekend from PLE. The Samsung website doesn't accept my serial number :( anyone else have the same prob?

    • Don’t use the serial number on the box. Open the box up and use the one on the actual device itself. They deliberately leave a digit/letter out so you have to open the box up.

      • Tried that, no luck..

        • Same here. I've emailed them to see what's up. Some people have said it takes time to have it added to the system, but I bought mine in the Oct 13 sales

          • @outlander: Keep mailing till it's added. I had that with earlier sales. I wish they'd just discount the drive. It must be very nice for them not to have to pay out claims for those who can't be bothered. I wonder how much they're paying staff to deal with that.

          • @outlander: Try now if you haven't already.

Many people have had problems in the past, it's a pain in the ass.
You need to email Samsung [email protected]

      • Same situation here, i have emailed [email protected] and just keep trying every few days.

        • Thanks for the email The Magic Pudding.
My serial number is prompting the same error message.
          Emailed [email protected] as well.

          • @wutang01: I only just got a reply today stating "We are currently investigating this issue and will resolve this for you as soon as possible." I tried it again and it worked.

            • @bananapretense: Cool, thanks for the reply. I'll wait for their email before trying again! (was trying daily)

I also had the same issue, was advised to email: [email protected] for support. Got a reply saying they are working on finding out what the issue is.
Sorry, ignore this, already answered above.

      • I got a reply from them. They sorted out the problem for me, and I was able to enter the claim.
Hopefully they've sorted out you guys too

      • Try now if you haven't already.

        • yep, seems they've actioned it, its working for me now.

    • I have the same problem today. said “invalid S/N". I just sent email to [email protected] and waiting for they reply.

Fixed by myself. Don’t use the serial number on the box. Open the box up and use the one on the actual device. as someone mentioned above. .

        • Lucky you! Unfortunately my 15 character S/N on the SSD itself is still triggering the "invalid S/N" message.

@wutang01: Mine has started working now. I emailed the support people a picture, they haven't replied saying its working but it is so give yours another go. Good Luck!

            • @No: Thank you for the heads up, No! Mine finally went through just now!

  • Just got mine credited yesterday. (This is for the ones I bought in September)

  • Jeez did take a way to get the credit.
