Vision Mounts Gas Spring Regular/Heavy Duty Dual Monitor VESA Desk Mount $99 + Shipping/Free Pickup @ Mwave

Been in the market for a dual desk mount and just noticed these two deals via Mwave. Quick google search puts the regular price in the $150-160$/$140-$150 range if you account for shipping costs.

They're the same price during the sale but the heavy duty version supports up to 10kg/30" per arm vs. 8kg/27" for the regular version.

Heavy Duty version: VM-GM124XD

Tilt:±15°
Swivel:180°
Rotation:360°

Regular version: VM-GM124D

Load:0-8kg
Tilt:'-90°~+85°

Hard to find actual customer reviews, but this video (regular version) as well as the comments sealed the deal for me.

  • $24 shipping to Brisbane is a bit tough to swallow - this maybe a good one for Sydneysiders.

What do you reckon the odds of it holding the 8kg Xiaomi 34 inch monitor are? I know it says 10kg per arm, but I've had bad experiences with large monitors slowly tilting downwards during the day.

So far no tilting with viewsonic 34 ultra wide, but it does make a cracking noise, and the arm movement is not smooth.

Thanks mate, that's super useful, I was worried it wouldn't even be close.

Two single arm mounts are always better than a dual arm mount.

You can get two single arm North Bayou mounts off Amazon for a similar price.

  • I have a couple of the Vision Mounts regular single arm mounts and they are decent and sturdy.

I tried one with an old Dell 2407 and it should have just been under the limit but the tilt kept sagging. The arm held it up okay it would just tilt forward after a while. If you are near the limit go a heavy duty one.

Something that I did miss is that these don't have clips to attach/detach the monitor from the arm. Attaching a monitor will be fine but it will be awkward removing one.

As kapone says, two single mounts will be much more useful than a double mount. Especially with larger (27"+ ) monitors.
