[Price Error] Logitech MX Master 3 (Black) $71.98 + Delivery (Free C&C) @ CPL Online

Moved to Forum: Original Link

Great price on the Logitech MX Master 3. Lowest ever I believe!

Alerted by Prino App that tracks prices for my 28 Degrees purchases for price protection claims.

I bought mine at $128.95 recently but unfortunately different Model # - hopefully the claim goes through anyway. 🤞

Update: 28 Degrees honoured my price protection claim.

Mod 31/10: Price error, orders are being refunded due to system glitch.

I saw this as well. $10k tv down to $200 haha. I wonder if anyone put that purchase through.

      Hi guys,

I'm so glad that you guys like the Prino app 😊.

We will work on something to identify these potential pricing error issues. However in the mean time, we need everyone help to maintain the quality of the data. Please report these pricing errors to us via [email protected].

FYI. We fixed up the data for CPL, those ridiculously low prices do not show on Prino anymore 😉.

Not your fault at all guys! I actually don't mind seeing these types of price errors in the app, and it's obviously the source site's issue (and best case-scenario they actually honour the price error).
It's the ones where the 'original' price is over inflated that I don't want to see. I guess it happens when something goes OOS and the website puts a $30 T-shirt up to $2000 on the site's back end or something.
Great to see more stores being added frequently :)

  • If it's too good to be true..

  • Anyone that already has this mouse, how do you clean the rubbery feel top part without actually stripping the coating off? I heard someone tried metho and stripped the coating…ouch!

    • It's plastic on my MX 2S, are they rubber on the MX 3?

      • Well it's still plastic (I think) on MX 3, but it's got this rubbery soft texture on it. Very similar to the MX Master 2s just little more softer. Dust seems to get stuck to it…and any cloth I wipe it with leave a trail of lintttttt…even a microfibre cloth. An I'm scared to use any cleaning agent on it.

Its a layer of moulded rubber that goes over the plastic shell. Dont use any solvents on it

      • Yes, that's what it is. Feels great in hand but dust/gunk just sticks to it with 8+ hours of everyday use.
Any advice on how to clean it? Pine'o clean wipes? Baby wipes?

  • Called jb hifi this morning and they wouldn't price match because it's a different model. But walked into the city and got it priced matched by just showing it on my phone and they didn't check the model! Very lucky, worth a shot for anyone else.

    • Did you use a screenshot before the site updated to the new price?

      • I loaded the website up fresh, rather than a screenshot though in this instance that would have worked for me. It was around 1030am so cpl was showing a low price still.

  • Thanks OP. email received from CPL. Looks like they are honouring the sale.

    • Sounds like a generic email.

    • I’ve been to the CPL shop this morning and being told they will mot honour the sale. Do you have a screenshot of your email?

  • Managed to get JB Hi-Fi Melbourne Central to price match.

    • When did you get them to price match? The listing has been back to $160 for a number of hours

      • at around 1:45. Showed them a receipt from the OP deal. Got a price match for 3 units.

      • +2

here's the receipt if you want to price match.

        • Which receipt you have used? From CPL shop?
I was in the shop and they said the price is $159 on the website. They didn't want to price match.

        • Tried this in Sydney City stores with no success they told me they don't match receipts

    • How you got it matched? Website shows 159$ now

  • ewww i missed this deal - i need one

    • +1

You did not miss anything, they are not going to honour the price. I got the email of cancellation :-)

      • relieved!! :)

Just got the email saying -

"The orders placed between 5 am to 12:30 pm on 30th of October 2020 were wrong in the system in items, quantities and prices. We would have to refund you for the order placed during the period mentioned. "

Ah well, worth a try but wouldn't want the business to suffer a potential loss like this, especially a VIC business.

Out of curiosity, what's the consumer law like in terms of price error, do businesses have to honour the sale below/above certain threshold?

    • Businesses are not required to honor honest price errors although some will so long as it doesn't put them out too much and is part of their company policy. It gets more technical depending on how it is presented but for a pricing error the law recognises that someone can make a mistake without that business then being bound to keep repeating that mistake to its detriment till it is withdrawn, especially in the world of e-commerce where an overnight price update could mean your selling $8000 TV's for $80.00 with potentially hours or days between the error being noticed.

  • Yes, got the same email. fun is over, now wait for the refund.

  • Thank you for your order! We had experienced a system data crash early this morning, resulting in the products, quantities, and prices in the system are incorrect. We had been working on and could not fix the problem till about 12:30 pm. The orders placed between 5 am to 12:30 pm on 30th of October 2020 were wrong in the system in items, quantities and prices. We would have to refund you for the order placed during the period mentioned. If you have paid the order by Bpay or bank transfer, please provide your bank details today for the refund. We would arrange a refund straightway after we receive your bank details. If you have paid the order by credit card, we will arrange a refund of the money to your credit card account through Payway today. We apologize for the inconvenience caused. We thank you again for the ongoing support and opportunity. Regards,

Got the refund email: We had experienced a system data crash early this morning, resulting in the products, quantities, and prices in the system are incorrect.

Knew it was too good to be true. *** sobs quietly whilst using work supplied HP mouse ***

Some poor sod is going to use this post as the historical low for MX Master 3 and they'll be waiting years for it to drop again…

    • But wont count as everyone got refunded, they arent honoring the price error.

What's been the cheapest for the mx master 3 so far?

Went to CPL this arvo to pickup some noctua fans. Was wondering why the website wouldn't load in the morning lol.

  • Still waiting on my cancellation email..

    • Received it at 3:19pm, if u didn't get it yet then you might be lucky and got away with it. best check the status of payment of their website under ur account.

      • lol, I can't even log into my account anymore..

Order cancelled. Pricing error most likely. Pretty sh&t.

  • Damn got mass email for cancellation, what a waste of time, at least lesson learnt to always try and price match and get physical item while price error is show.

At least i ordered Mx master 1 during amazon prime sale for $48 hopefully its not a major disappointment compared to the 3.

I dont like the change to the scroll wheel on the MX Master 3, i prefer my 1 & 2 :(

  • I was able to price match at JB hifi off the other JB receipt someone had posted earlier. Worth a shot to get an insane bargain!

Has anyone gotten their refund back yet? I sent them back details but no reply.

    • Same. Still waiting.

      • Still waiting also

        • Wait until next week. Their gateway probably takes a while the amount of refunds needed here.

    • Anyone managed to get a response? I've sent multiple emails but no replies at all.

      • I checked my account and got a refund a week later. No email correspondence though.
