PDF Esign/Signature Software

I have tried small PDF for signature and its pretty good but the price is not cheap.
So I am looking for a paid and reliable PDF signature software which is affordable (not monthly pricing structure). Something with lifetime license purchase would be good.
I have tried most trial ones and it's a bit annoying you have to register again to use the free trial.

Any suggestions on this from the gurus of OZB?

  • I like pdf xchange. Not overly expensive either.

    • Which one did you use for signature? PDF-XChange Editor or the Plus version?

  • Since I don't really use it for anything significant - just school slips and what not, I just use Free Foxit Reader to superimpose my signature onto the PDF. My signature was captured from my actual signature that I scanned in and it's stored as a BMP. I've tried to store it as a JPG but it tends to look like a flat computer graphic, while the BMP, unless I resize it really really large, tends to looks like the real thing. Still "flatter" looking than when written with a pen, but it certainly looks good enough.

Will this do for your purposes? Or is your use case more for business/legal stuff?

I have used docusign a few times in the past, and it didn't cost me anything. I think my broker and someone else that I can't recall had setup an account or something. Anyway, they would send me docs with the capability of being electronically signed. It didn't look anything like my signature. The way I understood it, it was similar to a witnessed "thumbprint," only in this case, "witnessed" electronically by the software signifying that I indeed affixed my mark/signature to symbolise my acceptance.

  • What's wrong with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader DC? You can insert an image or do proper digital signature.

    • I never knew it has signature functionality for the free version. Let me look into it.

      • +1

As far as I know I have the free version. "Fill & Sign" will let you insert an image and "Certificates" will let you digitally sign.

    • Hi Naheed, thanks for the suggestion. I will look into it.
