Marantz NR1601 SlimLine7 Channel AV Receiver RRP $1399.00 Reduced to $699.00 + Postage

Marantz NR1601-DOES support 3D TV's, and this is an exceptional price. May be able to price match at your local Harvey's if you would prefer pickup. The advantage of this unit is its very small footprint, and the fact that in my opinion, Marantz dont make rubbish.

  • looks good apart from fact it is old stock and has been superseded

    • I think the only difference between this and the newer Marantz lineup is the fact that the newer models have network capabilities, but most people today either have a tivo, or wireless media player setups, etc, so i reckon this is a pretty impressive price for this unit.

  • I'm looking for an Onkyo deal….where r u???!! :)

@homersyd - There's an Onkyo listed on Eastwood hifi's website (TX-SR608) that's on special. Not sure if that's close to you though.

      • Thanks mate, I knew about eastwood hifi and it's not far from me. But I'm looking for something around $500 (with 3D/7.1/android app)…may need to hold out til xmas sales… LOL

        • No worries, hope you'll find something suitable.

        • same here looking at around 500aud mark.

      • lol got excited thinking you were a rep who pointed him to another shop

        • It would have been funny if you had reported it :P
Nah, not a rep, I was just trying to help.

        • haha nah as in the old fashion good service. I own Shop A. Customer wants a product that i don't sell, so i direct him to Shop B.

  • Funny you should say that you are after an Onkyo- I just picked up the aforementioned SR608 for $650.00 from Harvey Norman about three weeks ago, there were a few left when I was there. Very happy, tho it is a big unit. Still love Marantz stuff tho! And it was a real toss up between this deal and the Onkyo at $650.00. On paper, the Onkyo has alot more grunt, but whether you would notice the power difference once you got it home? Doubtful.

    • That's an awesome price for the TX-SR608! Well done.

  • +1

Makes me cry when I compare with US$ RRP

    • yep - absolutely insane! I was having a look for TX-SR609 (with wifi) it costs around USD $500, while the same thing in Oz costs around $1400!!! (from BingLee) More than double the price!

      • Thats why i think this Marantz deal is quite a good one- i think on amazon.com, this unit is still selling for $599.00 US. So $699 for the AUST version is not bad.
