came here to say this. plus l4d1 hasnt got many active players. good to play with friends and theres heaps of mods for l4d2 now like maps, skins for the monsters etc

Does L4D2 have a decent single player campaign? Or is it only for mutliplayer?
Well it's all really multiplayer. The SP more is just replaced with boys either way multiplayer is still good. There's always games running everytime I log in.
Yes it has - singleplayer and multiplayer campaigns are all the same and the bots are usually more competent than some players you get in multiplayer.

Co-op and friends - two words I dread.
Left 4 Dead 2 contains all the content from the first, I would recommend just buying the second game
