Anything under $300 for that instant tax write off.

PS4, XB1, extra controller with charging stations, extra monitor for GTA Online, blutak to cover the camera during Teams / Zoom meetings that take place during Casino Heists.

Monitor(s) - easily the best thing to be added so you're not hunched over a laptop nor looking at a small screen.
Recommend one with USB power delivery if your laptop allows so it's one cable to display and charge.

MX Master variant for the mouse/personal use as it allows multiple connections.

Wireless keyboard, I go with Logitech given I just use a universal connector for my mouse and keyboard

Chair - very underrated but given WFH seems to lead to work time creep, it's good to be comfortable.

    Laptop stand
    Keyboard and mouse
    Laptop
    Monitor
    Internet
    Noise-cancelling headphones

  • Dual monitors.
    Dem excels are crazy

    • I went a single 32". I like that I can have the equivalent of 2 portrait A4s side by side on the same screen. We had dual 24" at work and I didn;t get the same buzz from them.

      • I have a 34” and a 27”.
I can split 34” as well just find it easier focusing on one.

    A solid nbn connection.

    • Solid mesh system too

  • +5

Pretentious bookshelf, books and plants for zoom domination.

    • Extra points if you can have some work related poster in the background.

    • +1

I make sure my diploma from The Ponds Institute is easily visible.

    • +2

I hire a hot female airtasker to walk around in the background attired in semi- revealing nightwear. Different one each time as well.

    Kegerator.

    "World's Best Boss" mug.

    • I rotate that with my #1 Dad mug. Want the world to know I dominate at work and at home (which is actually the same thing now).

    A Job

  • Robot vac.

  • A 70” 4K display plus a workstation/gamer.

A good chair and a proper work desk. I got myself a Herman Miller Aeron because I moved to 100% wfh and I do around 10-12hrs each day sitting in front of my desk. Best money I've ever spent.

    • hey mate, could you tell me please where you bought it from and how much you paid?

  • The person working from home.

  • Telephone , pen , paper, Coffee machine

An awesome wireless mouse for sho

I can work on a single screen laptop but man, hrs on the track pad sucks balls!

  • In order of preference for me, I’d say:

    Good internet connection
    Dual monitors
    Dock
    Chair
    Scanner/printer
Wireless keyboard (with numeric pad) and mouse
    Headphones
    A decent size desk

In terms of what are the best… I got the 24” curved Samsung monitors from a previous deal for $149 which were great (and under the tax threshold). Love the picture and so far no issues.

I have a hp dock which works nicely, but I would have gone with a dell one if I hadn’t found the hp for cheap.

I love my Logitech mx master keys and mouse but I’m not sure that they were worth the extra costs. I’d definitely shell out for something with horizontal scrolling.
