Have you looked on Amazon? The last 3 items I ordered were delivered within 24hrs.

    • Yeah looked on Amazon and saw some just worried they wouldn't arrive on time

Amazon delivery estimates are pretty accurate in my experience. My last order shipped from Sydney and arrived in Melbourne within 22hrs.
If you go that route make sure it’s fulfilled by Amazon and not a 3rd party.

        • Thanks I might give it a go then

YOu will be able to find ratcheting tie downs such as these at Repco or car accessory stores. I think I also bought something similar at Bunnings one time.

*oh i see you tried Bunnings!

    • Yeah and the straps I need are for lifting the items with another person not for securing or to tie down

aha - got ya! My thoughts went immediately to the idea of strapping something down on a trailer.

        good luck with your search/move

Most tool places sell them. Cheap as.
I use them for sled pulls at the gym.

I've moved house 7 times in the last 25 years and I've never required the straps you are asking for. Why exactly do you need these?

Would have come in handy when the wife and I had to move a futon mattress upstairs on Friday.

      • That’s exactly what I need , but I don’t think they will arrive in 3 days

I’ve got heavy items that need to go up stairs , I wouldn’t need them otherwise

      • They look dangerous

      • If your arms arnt strong enough to lift an item up the stairs you shouldn’t be using that on a non level surface. Imagine someone failing and the thing squashed them on the steps

They're really handy when shifting awkward objects/items. Used some recently in moving queen sized mattress and sprung base. Made it much easier to hold securely and manoeuvre.

OP, not sure if you have the Reject Shop in your area, but that is where I purchased a set, but it was awhile ago.

      • Thanks I'll will check them out 👍

  • Hire them - https://www.rentwa.net.au/fleet/arm-straps-set-2/
Not sure where you are located though

I use these straps from Bunnings. Just use two and diagonally thread them around and over your back. It works very much like furniture moving straps.

We use any old flat strap tie down lying around and just wind it around our hands. To a point wider the better, but too wide ie 60mm or so not so good. If you feel you need something around the shoulders I guess you could do that too, but be aware that if your back is office jelly you can do damage. Around the hands much easier to put down. Perfect for bulky items like cupboards and the like.
One of the most useful things is buying/making a trolley board. You will be amazed how often you use it after moving if you buy one.

Go to a car place selling all manner of car related items. Super Cheap Auto, etc.
There you will find what you seek.
