nice first post OP. Proud of ya for not claiming 'to go easy on you'. Now that's confidence

  • +4

Needs additional fans for "amazing airflow"

    • Second This. I got some RGB TT fans on the front and back now its amazing airflow.

    • +2

Not really, even with stock it gets better temps than most cases. I guess it depends how much airflow you need..

      • +3

Mmm, it's a great case, but it's for premium builds where you're adding more fans, if you want cooling performance (and you should as well as dust filtering), there are better value options at this price. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IqoGsaYJIzU

    • +1

Yup, and is on sale in the US for $70 delivered, so accounting for GST and additional shipping costs, would be about $120-$130. This post is basically announcing that the case is back in regular stock.

If you're not using a massive air cooler, you'd be better off looking at the Phanteks P400A DRGB version at around this price, as it's superior and has good stock fans. Both of these models should be dropping soon though, you'd hope.

    • +1

Is dust an issue for this case? Given that it's just using the metal mesh in the front

      • It has dust filters that are very easy to remove and clean. Additionally, because you can do easily achieve positive pressure dust not a huge issue. I have always found dust to be worse in cases with less airflow which is counterintuitive but anecdotally true.

    • Just get some of Ozbargain's favorite fans for $8.50 and run them at 900rpm.

    • Anyone who cares about amazing airflow will be using custom fans anyway. Personally I paired them with two phanteks 140 fans at the front and moved the stock front fan to the top back to use as a second exhaust. I have a an addition noctua 140 on the CPU cooler and the A I R F L O W is obscene.

Very easy case to build in, the cables manage themselves. Highly recommended.

Got the mini version, dont tell the plebs

    • Please explain?

    • +3

      link the mini version?

  • +6

Love This case. The only downside is the included fans are pretty trashy just buy some nice intake fans (Supports 3 on the front) and the cooling is really good. Dust filters are very effective.

  • +3

White version is also going for the same price.

  • Nice case

  • +1

I have a fractal design case from 2012. Is it time to upgrade?

  • +10

It has potential for good airflow, but in it's stock configuration the

    120mm fan (rear)
    120mm fan (front)

config doesn't actually move a lot of air. However if you replace the front fans with 2x 140mm's you can get lots of airflow, with very little noise.

If you're too poor to buy spare fans, Gamers Nexus also recommends looking at the Silverstone RL06 Pro which comes with 4 fans preinstalled and it's also cheaper to boot.

    • Can confirm its a great case once you modify the fan set up.

I followed the nexus review and haven't had any issues with heat 1 year later, despite stepping down from a full size tower with liquid cooling.

Moved my PC into one of these a couple months ago. Awesome case, way better temps than my old NZXT H500. Got my 3080 last week and it JUST fits.

    • Which 3080 is that?

      • The 3080 in the picture is a TUF 3080.
I have the Meshify C case with an Asus TUF 3080. Fits perfectly. There are a few 3080's that fit normally, and even more that fit if you use a slim 1.5cm fan at the front.

    • Epic!

    • Haha I fit a 3090 in my Meshify, with a front fan to boot!

    • Omg that's stunning!

    • Do you know how much your temps dropped? I have a H500 series too

      • Temp on my 1080 went down from 80ish to 70ish under load, though I did have my 240 rad as front intake on the NZXT, which is now too exhaust in the Meshify C, so combination of more airflow and cooler air. CPU temps have gone up slightly with the rad as exhaust, but only a few degrees.

    • Nice build, what is the rear exhaust fan? Looks larger than a 120…

      • So the rear exhaust is a Noctua NF-S12A, two NF-F12's on top exhausting through the rad, and two NF-A14s intaking at the front.

The only con for the Noctua's was the price, but I had the money so just said (profanity) it. Plus, a stuff up from Amazon UK meant one of them was free.

  • +2

I have the mini version of this which is just shorter (width + depth are the same).
Awesome case, however with a front mounted cooler you really limit your graphics card options, my max is only 285mm so it rules out many 3070/3080’s (like I could even get one right?)

    • +3

rules out many 3070/3080’s (like I could even get one right?)

Thank God for Jensen's paper launch eh, now you can go better with a 6800 XT 👍

      • Is it going to be smaller?

        • +1

Apparently its about 2cm smaller than the RTX3080 FE

          • @Hellcrusher3304: Thanks, I've not looked into after being so disillusioned with Nvidia release and zero stock that I'm just staying as is until there's a good deal or readily available stock.

Might be getting one of these having read that though :)

            • @Ironic fear: Yeah, be careful about the choice of RTX3080 (when they actually have stock) coz many after market cards are so big it won't fit cases like the Meshify C.

  • Anyone here is a mVip member that is willing to help with the shipping fee ?
    Im based in Melbourne.

    Thanks in advance.

  • +10

Anyone remember when this was $129 brand new and now $149 is a deal LOL

  • This is great case for airflow, just slap on another 120mm fan in the front and you're good.

  • Meshify S2 is a great case

  • $27 delivery to SA

  • I have the white version of this case and I love it! I added 2 extra fans (just cos) and it works great.

  • Fantastic case really. It fits the king NH-D15 as well.

  • +2

Used to be this price before covid, price went up significantly afterwards.

  • Note:
This case could to too loud if you intended to use it in quite place as the case is not exactly closed. In exchange for that, the ventilation is superb comparing to the previous $70 case I have…..

  • +2

+$32 delivery to QLD. Cheaper at Umart if you can pickup @ $169

    • +1

      Great info

  • +3

might wait for black friday sales

  • Still using an Antec 1200 with mix built in and scythe fans internally, any reason I should update?. I love the look of the meshify but don't think it will make much diff?

  • great case. Really easy to build in too

  • Noob question alert; how's this compared to the budget Thermaltake Versa H18? i've also noticed difference in form factor with H18 being micro-ATX and this is Mid-Tower.

Just want to maximise the budget that I have for my new build and casing is probably the component I would like to cheap out; if any of these specs matter (I only put these 4 as I think these are the only one that matters), here's what I have in mind:

    • CPU: Ryzen 3300X/3600/5600X.
    • MOBO: ASUS Prime B550M-A Wi-Fi.
    • GPU: 5700XT/2070S/3070.
    • PSU: Corsair RM750/Seasonic SSR-750FX).

Apology if the above may sound like a dumb question.

  • I have this case and absolutely love it. Using be quiet fans x 4 and I bought a different front mesh colour.

  • Had this with be quiet silent wings fans through out and the DRP4 cooler with a 9900k and AORUS 2080.

GPU ran hot. This case is known for that. Was reguarly approaching high 70s and was loud. May have been unlucky with the card.

Since switched to a 011 XL but I do miss the clean look.

  • This case from MSY is better in my opinion, comes with 3 addressable RGB fans and a rear black fan, MSY website is down for some reason but they sell it for $99.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/143461094296

  • If you're adding fans to this and like the style it's perfect.
If you want good cooling out of the box, go for a p400a or the lancool 2 mesh which are both around the same price.

  • Have the mini version.

The front grill with the dust filter makes RGB or any color pretty dim. Anywhere else is fine.

Placed 2xP140s and 2xP120s (GPU rad) and my system is so quiet is hard to tell when its under load.

  • +1

Note that some of the larger third party 3080 cards will not fit in this case with a front fan mounted - just an FYI.

  • +1

Awesome case. I had built a home server using this case and still have it. So far, very happy with it.

    https://pcpartpicker.com/b/bDvnTW

  • Beautiful case, I have the RGB version which was $199
Highly recommend it, quiet and performs great with air flow! I did put in extra fans by removing the HDD cage with deepcool af120s

    • Where did you put your HDDs then?

      • You can mount HDD directly on the case floor where the HDD cage would be. Obviously this is only possible if you have only 1 HDD.

  • +1

Meshify r7 is around the corner… :) This is still a stellar case

  • How would still case compare to this one https://www.amazon.com.au/Corsair-Carbide-Mid-Tower-Gaming-T…

    • Miles better than the 275R.

      • Roughly how so?

        • +1

I already purchased the 275R is a bit cheaper if you include the free shipping cost

        • I'd say 1-3 degrees better in stock configuration depending on your ambient temperature. It pulls ahead more when you add an additional (or 2) intake fans at the front and an exhaust at the back top area (above the CPU).

Meshify C has an unrestricted front panel which is better than 275R's side front panel intake.

  • +1

    Late to the party but

Just got this ebay price matched. total 195$ + a $53 voucher
    = $137.5 shipped + shopback/cashrewards 2% + shopback $2 on any purchase deal
    where is the ozbargain spirit

  • Bought this few weeks ago at $189 (blackout edition), upgrade from the ol' NZXT S340. Picked up a new AIO cooler (Kraken X52) for it as well. Amazing case, the tempered glass is so nice! Can't recommend it enough.

  • What's the Fractal like compared to the Lian Li Lancool II Mesh which is also on Mwave?

Lancool appears to have some nice cable management, RGB, mesh front and also pwm fan controller.

  • +1

No USB-C built in. Otherwise looks good.

  • i believe this is the case Henry Cavill built his PC in, so if you want Superman's PC, there you go.

    • Close. Superman's case is Fractal Design Meshify S2, larger dimensions but both are great!

    • -2

Lol. He's not superman, he's an actor.

      • You're right, he's not superman. He is Geralt.

  • Mine arrived today and there was no bag of screws and a lot of the screws shown in the manual (on the case) are missing. My old case had a built in standoff, this one doesn't, so I'm screwed.

    • +1

Nevermind the accessory box was in the hard drive bay

      • thanks. frustration was building here too.

  • IIRC it's hidden and tucked tightly in or near the hard drive shroud towards the bottom of the case. It took me a while as well, had to pull the side panels, front and bottom filters off in the order to find it.

  • This thing is huge. wasn't expecting mid tower to be so huge. the case alone weighed more than my previous case with everything in it lol

  • +2

After seeing this on sale, I shouldn’t have been surprised to see gamers nexus drop a video this morning for the Meshify 2
