Damn good price, my X-T2 is still serving me very well, I'll be a bit sad to part from it actually. IBIS in the 4 is very appealing though.

    • Ditto

  • 16MM F/1.4 = $943.20 after cashback
    90MM F/2.0 = $911.20 after cashback

Me who bought the xt3 + above two lens prior to this cashback promotion =(

    • depending on how you purchased it, you might have a change of mind return option?

      • Got it from digiDirect during their warehouse sale just last week, but yeah I have contacted them hopefully they can reinvoice so I can qualify for the cashback. Be sure to update to the newly released 4.0 firmware for xt3, significant improvements (especially in auto focus).

  • The 35 1.4 is also reasonably priced after discount and cashback, but it's pretty over inflated overall. $560.20

  • Black $1,574.40 ($300Cashback), after cashback should be $1274.40…
should i go for it, or should i wait for black friday/boxing day ?

who knows, its a great price for a great camera.

  • X-E3 Nothing beats this uncomfortable beast.

  • What lens would you recommend getting for the the X-T3?

    • +1

Depends on what you're doing with it. If you're not sure, the 18-55 is an incredibly good lens and you can often find them pretty cheap used due to being a "kit" lens (probably the best kit lens I've ever used across several systems).

X-T4 under $2000 for the first time too.

    • Under $2000? How?

It's currently $2,788 on digiDirect, and with the coupon goes to $2,230. Can this price be reduced further or are you talking about another deal?

If you're referring to cashbacks, I have no clue how they work.. what's involved with that? Edit.. I found the Fujifilm cashback :

  • any update on Sony cashback? i have got no patience

  • Fellow Ozbs, what's the best all-purpose lens combination for X-T3? Is the 18-55mm XF f/2.8-4 R LM OIS a good start for someone whois looking to get serious into photography? TIA

    • +1

the 18-55 is a very capable and sharp lens.
It is a good starting point for a lens.

      • cheers mate, I may just pull the plug then!

    • I'd say that and a XF 27mm f2.8mm; you can (almost) carry the camera around in your pocket.

      • +1

thanks mate, I will have a look but I don't think so this lens is on cashback. May hold off on this lens till cashback!

        • +1

Yes, do that together with a 20% off sale. Somehow I paid just $70 for it from Ted's Cameras two years ago..
What's going on with the prices? Have lenses had the Covid tax put on them-
          https://pricehipster.com/product/GW0QbVAdzyt2JePUOk2C7Q~rkqM…

cos this lens is now @ $700
          https://www.teds.com.au/fuji-xf-27mm-f2-8

          • @alidli: Wow, that's a massive jump. Hopefully, it comes back to "Pre-Covid" normal soon. Thanks again champ!

          • +1

@alidli: That's disgusting. It's a decent lens but it's NEVER been a $700 lens. I got mine for about the same price you mentioned.

        • that lens is probably worth about $100, id prefer one of the f2 lenses slightly bigger but way better.

          • @Dtezy: Fuji glass is some of the best available so I'd be happy to pay up to $200 if never on sale again, and it does give very good all-round results.

            • @alidli: yeah you are right but spend abit more get a used f2 lens would be better- those are weather sealed, very fast and pretty sharp even at f2

      • Its the sharpest lens I have ever used to be very honest. Got it for $57 from deals last year. I will never sell this gem!

for those that want the lenses = the 56mm is awesome

    • Noob question here, but if I get the XT3 kit 18-55mm, why should I get the 56mm

      • +1

Depends on what you're shooting, the zoom kit lens is variable aperture, it will be F4 at 55mm, whereas the 56 is F1.2. Larger aperture provides greater separation between subject and background, smaller focal plane, more OOF blur or boleh.

        • Could I get away with just the 56mm as an all-rounder, or is the 18-55mm just as essential

          • @ChatGPT-4: Once again it depends on what your needs are. Besides the depth of field /u/kopisusu mentions, you won't be able to zoom with your lens - you'll need to zoom with your feet. Sometimes possible, sometimes not - depends on what you're shooting.

          • +1

            @ChatGPT-4:

Could I get away with just the 56mm

            No, too long FL

            • @snvl: yeah the kit is way more versatile = find the 56mm is great for portrait not so good for landscape or street (it makes it too close)

      • +3

Noob question here, but if I get the XT3 kit 18-55mm, why should I get the 56mm

Stick with the 18-55mm for a year then you will know if you need anything else

        • Cool, I could wait however I would risk the $200 cashback on the lens.

          • @ChatGPT-4: Usernames checks out :P

Joking aside, I'd echo snvl suggestion if you're just getting into photography and using an interchangeable lens camera for the first time.

56mm F1.2 is not cheap (even with %off and cashback) in my mind, and being a telephoto prime is more limited in use compared to a standard or wide angle prime lens.

Don't worry too much about missing cashback - search on ozb for the previous Fujifilm cashback promos you'll see same lenses appear in more than one promo.

            • @kopisusu: Cheers! I reckon the XF50mm is about 90% as good as the 56mm, at a fraction of the cost. I guess you really pay for that extra quality.

          • @ChatGPT-4:

would risk the $200 cashback on the lens.

Fuji has this promotion one or twice a year

            • +1

@snvl: Thanks I pulled the trigger on the silver X-T3 with 18-55mm. Next up is what memory card would you recommend

              • +1

@ChatGPT-4: get the Sandisk extreme pro - you will need if you want to shoot video. They are fairly cheap from amazon.
Also i find i never lose money on second hand lenses, generally people look after them. After the initial depreciation they hold their value quite well and never had a problem.

    Bougt X-T200, thanks

  • Hi guys, first time posting here.

Are ebay invoices eligible for Cashback? Has anyone claimed it?

    • You will get a separate invoice from Digidirect when you order from its Ebay Store.

      • +2

        Thanks mate.

Thanks OP. Just bought a Silver x-t3. Had been waiting for this price for the last three months. Patience paid off.

        • Quick update everyone. The camera is here but I haven't got an invoice in the box or through an email. I've sent digidirect a message through ebay. Hopefully they come back soon. Will keep you posted.

          • @TubeLight: Final Update!!! Digidirect were super quick to respond. The invoice came in within minutes of me sending the message. The cash back has been applied for.

Buyer beware if you looking at purchasing a fujifilm x-t200. Purchased it on 18th Oct during the last 20% deal and still haven’t received it. Called DigiDirect today and they said both silver and champagne colors are out of stock and supplier is unable to provide an eta. They couldn’t confirm if it is a matter of weeks or months, so I decided to request a refund. Hopefully the refund gets processed in a timely manner but quite disappointed that they sold an camera that was out of stock and the lack of updates, despite processing the payment to my credit card.

    • Sorry to hear about your experience. I've had a similar experience with them in store for a Sigma 19mm 2.8 for Sony APSC mount. Took months to get it after putting a deposit. So I have a simple principle with them, if its not in stock I won't put a deposit.

The listing for the X-T3 said they had more than 12 in stock. I've already got an email that its been sent. Tracking system says I should get it tomorrow.

    • +1

I ordered a X-T200 and have already received a tracking number for it. ETA is today.

  • did anyone purchase this, BUT do not receive a tax invoice? instead only picking slip was included ?

  • When does this promo end?
