Looking to upgrade my dying phone, found this deal, cheaper than the X3 Superzoom along with Australian Warranty.

save $100 if bought direct from Realme via Aliexpress….should have asked for price match?

    • +2

No warranty if from Ali Express. Plus Chinese model. Network band issues plus bloatware

      • +1

NO its the Global with NFC and you are buying direct from the Manufacturer so yes there is warranty

BUT it would ONLY be a bargain at $300 with this model hehe

      • Those days of Chinese model with no NFC and Band 28 is gone 100 years back :D

      mediatek. it's an upgrade

        AMOLED double updrade

        • +3

65W Dart Charge 42% in 10 minutes and 100% in 34 mins (advertised)

          • @Conquistador: Speakers are better than the 6 according gsmarena here

            • @MattBrisSyd: I think you need to read that again…says the 6 sounds better even though it is only single speaker:
"When compared to Realme 6 Pro - the 7 Pro lacks in bass big time and the output sounds, well, shallow. The high tones are well presented on the 7 Pro, better than on the 6 Pro, but still - the previous model offers richer audio with its single speaker."

              • @billy_bob: Yes I read that, but this comment thread is comparing it to the 6 non pro. I do get what you mean though.

      • Realme 7 pro
        AnTuTu: 278414(v8)
        GeekBench: 1811 (v5.1)
        GFXBench: 14fps (ES 3.1 onscreen)

        Realme 6
        AnTuTu: 288931 (v8)
        GeekBench: 7815 (v4.4), 1726 (v5.1)
        GFXBench: 16fps (ES 3.1 onscreen)

So the Mediatek G90T chip outperforms the Snapdragon 720G in this case.

Is realme good? Considering their flagship at $599

    855+/12G/256G seems quite good

    • I want to know too if anyone can give feedback on this. Read this has no 5G.

      • +2

I am aware of that. My opinion is that 5G may not be necessary for the next 2 years lol.

    • Small battery for a 120Hz LCD screen

      • thanks for the advice

  • Since it's not mentioned anywhere I assume it's just a 60Hz display, need a 90Hz+ display for me to upgrade :/

still wating for a find x2 pro deal

  • Someone should should force JBHifi to match the $407 from Realme via AliExpress

at $350 it is a bargain, but not $479

    • +1

JBHifi will say it's a different model, and they will be right based on specs on the FDD-LTE bands.

AliExpress published FDD-LTE bands: Bands 1/3/5/7/8/20/28(Not Support B2/B4)
      Australia version published here: 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28

Band 2 & 4 are unused in Australia so they don't matter, but technically they are different models.

Regardless, a business has no obligation to price match, especially with an overseas seller. Nobody can force JBHifi to price match anything.

      • The Market will force JBHifi to mark down that model very soon heh

Would not be suprised to see them sell it for $250 by Xmas

        • There's not much profit margin for phone in this price range - and JB definitely wouldn't be selling a phone for less than they paid for it. Only way that this phone could get below $400 on sale is they get a discount from the supplier. Look at the current new price for any phone that was around $400 new 2 years ago and they rarely drop to less than 70%- unlike flagships dropping by $100-200 at the 12 and 24mo anniversary/ new model release.

But one can hope for a $250 decent phone in Aus!

            @Jengel: My sister bought 2x Samsung A50 's for $250 each last year, now A51 's are $450

These midrange clunkers drop like flies at the end of their life cycle….the Flagship rarely drop much after their initial drops

  • Lighting Speed?

    • Super speed charging. But at the expense of battery health / lifespan if you always use it.

      • I agree, but "lighting"?

  • +1

Realme phones are very reliable, very long battery life, fast charging. for the price point its hard to believe, but they are extremely good phones for its price. Highly recommend.
